On everyone (*cough*Dina*cough*) putting drugs in front of her, so it’s not her fault:
“I’ve never abused prescription drugs. I never have — never in my life. I have no desire to. That’s not who I am. I’ve admitted to the things that I’ve done — to, you know, dabbling in certain things and trying things ’cause I was young and curious and thought it was like, O.K., ’cause other people were doing it and other people put it in front of me. And I see what happened in my life because of it.”
On looking up to Britney Spears:
When she first moved to Los Angeles, she says tabloids were her main source of news and that was “really scary and sad … I would look up to those girls … the Britneys and whatever. And I would be like, I want to be like that.”
On acting:
“I want my career back. I know that I’m a damn good actress, and it’s been my passion since I was a child, and I know that when I care about something, I put 100 percent and more into it.”
On not going to the clubs because they’re stupid anyway:
“I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It’s not fun anyway. I don’t care. It’s the same thing every time.”
And to show how committed Lindsay Lohan is to focusing on her career by not going to clubs, she was already pulled over Sunday night for running a stop light to get to Marmont as soon as possible.

It’s not a maturation process that’s in question – neither is it an issue of a slow learning curve. She is utterly incapable of processing the fact that if she says one thing and then immediate does another, people will focus on her actions rather than on her words. For her, what she says is the only reality.
That bit about “if it takes not going out of clubs (that aren’t fun anyhow) so that people will focus on her work, so be it” is a massive disconnect – she’s been coming up with variants of that for the past 5 years and it’s getting old. Her clubbing and partying during the shoot of Herbie and then being hospitalized for “exhaustion” and “asthma” disrupted the schedule and pissed people off. That was five years ago. She didn’t get it then when she immediately stated that clubbing was boring and she was a serious actress. She said it, that shoud take care of it. lThe same thing happened during the shooting of Georgie Rule a year later when she was called out – publically, in the press – by a disgusted studio exec for the same shit. She didn’t get it then, either. She claimed she was dedicated to her craft and clubbing was bad for her because she had asthma and that warning was just WRONG – so that should take care of it! Not too surpising – when she was called a thief for swiping some girl’s unique $11K coat from a club and was photographed wearing it, Dina Lohan denied she ever had any such coat in her possession. See, it’s not about what we do, it’s always about what we say.
So she will never get it. For her, the carefully worded and sincere (to her) observation makes it all better – and hey presto! that’s all that’s needed to mend her career! Now, off to Butter!

Actually I think she was a very good actress, she just made some wrong turns and focused on other things rather than her acting. Look at the home and fucked-up family she comes from, that says a great deal.
And experimenting is fine when you’re 19. But not 24. Lindsay needs to grow up and get her life on track. Sadly she probably never will.

She is a good actress – MEAN GIRLS is good and she’s very good in it.
FREAKY FRIDAY -again she pulls off very good physical comedy when she’s acting as Jamie Lee Curtis in her daughter’s body.
PARENT TRAP – she’s 12 and not only does she admirably pull off a dual role, making each sister distinct – but she pretty much nails a British accent. She was 12.
And overall she’s charming in all of them. A bunch of you keyboard tough guys like to imagine you’re charming yourselves, but try being “charming” for 24 consecutive takes and at all hours of the morning, while remembering your lines and all the other assorted distractions working actors have to put up with during a shoot.
None of the above movies are classics of the genre, no one’s claiming she’s the best actress that ever walked the Earth – but enough with the lies and the denial of pure facts – Lindsey was and if she can pull herself together, likely still has it in her to be a fine actor.
If you want to hate a complete stranger because they’re addicted to dope and booze and drama and self-destructive behavior – Go ahead and hate, but don’t deny the talent that there on film.
Final note – when she’s healthy and not strung out and half starved – Lindsey’s also an extremely attractive young woman. So again hate her if you must because you disapprove of how she conducts herself, but don’t lie despite the evidence right in front of your eyes and claim she’s ugly.

Fine, no one likes her and nobody respects her. But she is/was a GOOD ACTRESS and she is/can be PRETTY.
Robert Downey Jr was for years a train wreck of a drunken junkie and once cleaned up and focused has delivered the goods.
Lindsey may not have RDJ’s level of talent – but then again she may – but her fucked up parents and her shitty lifestyle and all the bullshit that comes from being young and fucked up in LA have stalled her career and her skill set.
But from those first few non-partying years, her output was commendable and most importantly, enviable.
Let’s not drink the haterade, any young working actor/actress would’ve sold their souls to be in any of Lindsey’s projects. And she got the job done and her movies did well and she made the studios money.
If she was the ugly no-talent, dime a dozen starlet that the haters make her out to be – then she wouldn’t have been cast in 8 movies before she was 20 years old.
Lindsey ain’t Picasso – but just to make a point – Picasso was a serial cheating, abusive fuckhead of a human being – but don’t say the man was a lousy artist.
