VIDEO: Kanye West hates George Bush
You spend one labor day weekend selling everything you own to donate to charity and you miss all the hilarious things that are going on with celebrities. The biggest story so far is Kanye West's comments during last Friday's A Concert for Hurricane Relief telethon, where he ignored the teleprompter and went off on a confusing rant about being a hypocrite, ending the segment saying, "George Bush doesn't care about black people." While hilarious in its own right, the combination of Mike Meyers' reaction along with NBC's desperate cutaway to Chris Tucker zoning out make it the feel good film of the year. Anways, both the American Red Cross and NBC have released statements trying to distance themselves from Kanye, which is a smart move because that brother is all sorts of crazy. Watch the amazingly awesome video after the jump.
*Update: This goes without saying, but Michael Moore hates George Bush too. Read his open letter to the President here.

Not only does Bush not care about black people he hates the poor. I believe what he has done, or should I say not done is MURDER. He has neglected these people to death. I can not believe this is happening in America in 2005. I'm glad Kanye West said something I hope more famous people make their voices heard about how poorly Bush has dealt with this situation!!

I think that George Bush is a racist Jerk..
He has neglected all the poor, and Kanye West was right, being the majority black people..
like the statement he made,
"George bush says that the Black people are looting, and Others simply looking for food.."
that is disgraceful, and makes me sick to the stomach..
George Bush should not be President of the U.S and i know, alot of people feel the same way!
He has done countless, horrible, wrong acts in the past, i i dont forgive him,
there has been alot of shocking rumours going around about George bush lately, and i myself have seen a shocking/disturbing Documentry about Him, and some other scary things..and im sick of him..
I think everyone should speak out,
and if the black citizens of the U.S feel he's being racist, to speak out..
next time theres an election for President, you know what the right choice SHOULD be, don't be influenced by other people though, think whatvever you wish to think, this is just my thoughts and hatred to the president im releasing.
thank you.

oh my god I can not beilieve anyone could agree with that idiot. Could you tell he was stuttering the whole time. I could barely understand him. And what about the part the he said the soldiers get permission to come down and shoot us. WTF??????? I dont even know what that is saying and if it against the troops I think he should go and risk his life to help people. Bush did the best he could in the situation he had and what he did was NOT murder. I challenge you liberty to try to do a better job but for now u should stay with your dumb rapper friend that can't say a complete scentance that makes sense.

Wait first of all, Kanye aint a dumb rapper aight!!!
if you can write intricate lyrics the way he does or better, then you may have the right to say so, but right now nobody can...not even you chump...
I support Kanye and his perspective, too long now have i seen our so-called President Bush pass Black people off to the side like worthless debris.
Firstly he is able to ship troops with artillery and vehicles to inflict pain to a nation overseas (iraq), which he is struggling to justify why, yet when something of this scale lands in his own backyard he does not deal with it as swiftly and efficiently... maybe because theres no oil in it for him... maybe because the majority of the peeps down there are black and/or poor. Too much of the nation's money has been used on War, and ways of preparing for it, instead of curing the worlds most deadly disease, poverty. Instead George bush is heading out to a mere third world country to further advance poverty's hold on the poor alredy there!!!!
It is also true about how they portray the black man, even though both races are struggling to survive down there, only the black family is depicting as "looting", can u tell me why?
Look, This is just my opinion, and obviously one shared by THE GREATEST RAPPER OF THIS TIME "Kanye West", and it aint law, but y'all also have your right to your opinion but let me say place yourself in a black mans shoes, countless times in the pass we have been discriminated against and now finally someone out there has used his fame to voice that message, one that, to us seems so obvious "George Bush Doesn't care about black people"
please contact me with your opinions on my URL posted above

Contrary to popular belief, Kanye West is not as intelligent as people want to believe, his lyrics are average. Anyone can talk to much, If he wants respect from real musicians, let's ask him how many sharps are in the key of G. Real musician, or just another rapper who won't shaddaup. It was a shame how the government responded to Katrina victims, but anyone with a brain, or at least a little bit of real education about the government, knows Bush was limited by advisors he thought knew how to do their job, the fault lays with them, not Bush (Duh).Kanye West has alienated himself from hundreds of thousands of fans with his moronic comments. The real politically active musicians, like Bono, know never to make such comments, based only in opinion and ignorance. I have DJ'ed at night clubs over 11 years, and, like other DJ friends, I refuse to play his music at the club I work at, it's just not that good, their are plenty of other rappers out there whose music sound more inspired. Let's see where his mouth has landed him 10 years from now. In so far as only the black being blamed for the looting, I would disagree, if anyone could show me ANY video of looting happening by anyone else. Racism is sometimes the unfortunate direct result of the actions of only a few, but can anyone show me video of looting happening in White communities?? By white people?? Anywhere?? Let me close with one final thought, Pesident Bush's policies, cover the general population, I invite ANYONE to show me a way Bush has purposely, not "in your opinion", showed, through policy, he "hates black people". Black people should stop looking for a new scapegoat for the "people hate black people" syndrome. Bush Hates TERRORISTS, let him do his job to keep us safe from those idiots.

Kanye speaks the truth. Bush doesn't care about blacks, whites, latinos, no one cause he only cares about himself. Why is my folks and others still across seas? What they fighting for? Lately staying to survive and stay alive. I miss my folks and I would get on TV too and express myself. Kanye may have been nerve but he said what he had to say and no one could not stop him. Remember Amendment 1 "Freedom of speech" Now I'm out this BITCH!

Bush didn't stop Nagen and Blanco from using all the recourses they had to evacuate the poor who couldn't get out. Bush also didn't stop them from planting enough national guardsmen and enough food + water to supply the vast population that was tranded. Everyone with half a brain should be able to see it takes a long time to evacuate 10 to 20,000 people with just helecopters and small boats much less dropping enough food and water to keep them all fed at the same time.
Every level of government f'd up but the complete neglegence and incompetence of Nagen and Blonco was 90% of the cause and made the federal response 100 times harder.
As for these Bush bashers. Bush could have parted the flood waters like Moses did to the red sea so all the stranded people could simply walk out and they would still bash him for bringing religion into it.

No one by any means said that the individual in question did, or did not have the right to say what he said. Please think next time before you start referring to an unrelated amendment in an attempt to sound more intellectual. The man has every right to speak his mind in whatever public medium that he feels fit, however it would be couth him to prepare and research a little bit more before he attempts a public statement about such a controversial topic as racial discrimination in the white house during a national crises. What I think we should address the issue that Kayne West lacks the ability to speak to the media appropriately. It is one thing to state an opinion about the government, but it is another thing to use propaganda (the public promotion of information solely reflecting an individual’s or groups’ own views and interests.) that is what Kayne West is basically doing. I am not saying that he is the only public figure to use propaganda. We see it all over, but that does not mean we should deem it accreditable. His statement that “George Bush does not care about black people”, and “they have given permission to go down and shoot us” are completely out of line and diminishes Mr. West’s entire statement. First to make a statement that a government official of any kind is raciest you have to have a sound argument and creditable facts, Mr. West unfortunately had none of those. Next his statement about “permission to shoot us” was taken from the orders given that were completely in line with proper protocol in any crises situation. The national guard was given permission to return fire only after rescue helicopters were shot at by those they were trying to help while making supply drops and attempting evacuations.
My statements are not meant to diminish the magnitude of this horrible disaster that has hit our nation. This is something that has touched us all, some more then others, and instead of looking directly to the president maybe we should be looking more local. The local government should stop attempting to pass the buck onto the national government by screaming about the lack of relief funds and should maybe try and answer for their own mistakes, which could have prevented this from even happening. Like ignoring apparent flaws in the levy system which was significantly out dated and was in need of repair and remodeling for years prior to this event. There should be a sound evacuation plan for a city where you could look up at street level and see massive barges floating above your head. However, maybe what we should do is instead of running around placing the blame on people, we should try and make the situation better. Those are just my personal thoughts.

First off, I gotta give credit to the man, kanye west is talented (for a rapper that is). I appreciate him as an "entertainer", but I certainly do not find his ignorance entertaining. What I find amusing is that somewhere along the line, these entertainers' head get so big that they tend to get the notion they can say as they please and people will accept. I know he puts a lot of effort trying to appear confident and cocky, but his "public persona" just smells a little fishy to me. I mean, how in the world does someone that is so confident and arrogant at bunch of silly award shows still appeared so nervous on live TV? After the comments he made about the prez I pretty much lost all my respect for him. What?! what did you say??? I can't hear you Kanye....you mumbling stumbling stuttering fake ignorant fool. Did he get so nervous and pissed in his pants thats why he couldn't talk right? Kanye obviously made a statement directly from his personal opinion with little to absolutely no real argument. Unfortunately, it is a statement that should not be taken lightly. Yes, there is freedom of speech, but with freedom there comes a price. His action is the type of action only an ignorant selfish fool would take. Yes, I understand nowadays musicians are often praised for being more liberal and opinionated voicing their mind blah blah blah bullshit!
My point is...if youre gonna decide to be ignorant and look like an ass, roll a joint with your rap friends and act a fool all you want...but don't get on national live TV and show your ass. And as for the prez, do we all really know whats really going on with the administration? Not really! Then why the hell we pointing fingers. As for all the anti-bush nutcases out there, SHUT UP. Its a hard hard job and no one knows except the lonely man at the top.
I support the president! I am behind MY president. The president is my LEADER, and my leader STANDS FOR MY COUNTRY! As a proper citizen and a soldier, I am FOR my country...NOT AGAINST it! Like it or not, Bush is currently the big man, and I have faith that he is trying to achieve goodness for this country! the least anyone could do is support! I am starting to think people are forgeting the power of SUPPORT. As a soldier...I would spit on anyone who goes against my country!

haha, all you fuckin patriots. little do you know that you are fighting a war for a country whom is completely against you. george bush cares for no one but himself and what he can do to further the corruption of his government. middle class people are the only people going to fight that war and george bush only supports the wealthy (tiny) population of america. george bush is racist not mention DUMB and only in power because of his powerful daddy. for all the people posting comments to the effect of- GOd bleesS AMERicA!! - i have news for you- the only news you didn't get.. george bush is considered a joke by all the other countries because he bases his decision on what he feels fit (something that no other president has done). every person needs an editor- to go without is stupid and arrogant. pull your heads out of your asses. please.

Actually its a small minority of Iraq that is causing problems. It's sugnificant a number to cause these problems and slow the process but if it was say just a quarter of the population they would dwarf the coalition and it would have been droven out by now.
Same with all the countries that protest when an American political figure visits. Hell Salt Lake City Utah that voted 70% Bush had a sizable Anti-Bush Anti-War rally when Bush visited the state shortly before his re-election. Don't mistaken the few thousand protesters you see on TV represents the majority of entire county's and states.
And you know what even though not much progress seems to being made it might just work out for America, Iraqi's and the world.
Oh and FYI Black loving Democrats voted heavily in favor of using force in Iraq.

Yes but not all. I certainly didn't nor did I vote to re-elect. So to all who love Bush, pay for my gas and line George Bush's pockets please...I've had enough. There are more issues to focus on than war. The country is headed for trouble. I would like to thank Bush and all of you that support him for destruction of our country. To all the supporters, please don't complain when the country falls apart and you are paying $10 a gallon for gas.
