Will Ferrell’s George W. Bush meets Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin

October 24th, 2008 // 56 Comments

It’s Friday, so here’s Will Ferrell reprising his classic George W. Bush role alongside Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin on last night’s Primetime Edition of Saturday Night Live. I’m pretty sure something historic just happened here, but then again, I think it’s historic whenever I pour chocolate milk on my Cocoa Krispies. And, on that note, excuse me while I vibrate over to the men’s room to have a sugar-induced panic attack. Whee!

I hear Michelle Obama plans to paint the White House flourescent purple, they also are going to cover up all the furniture with plastic, and they’re planning on leaving all their kids toys out in the yard. That way it will resemble the houses in the surrounding DC low income housing areas.

First off, SNL reeks of a lack of creativity. Like every other sketch in the past few decades, this one was only mildly humorous, ran too long, etc.

Secondly, when you say “I hate Bush”, give a reason. I hate lima beans because they’re mushy and have a terrible taste.

Next, be angry with a House and Senate that are controlled by whiny Democrats, ineffective Republicans and Independents that don’t which way is up.

The problem with our government is not solely the fault of the Executive branch. Having a single focal point to blame your problems on is an easy out hence the blanket baseless statement by LeFarge “I hate Bush”.

Blame the people that were elected to represent you on a more direct level and keep in mind the President signs or vetoes the bills sent to him by YOUR Senators and Representatives.

Your Senators and Representatives are puppets of special interest groups; those who give them the most money to sway their vote and, at the same time, line their pockets. Be angry with them all. They’ve done nothing for you.

Obama is not eligible for the President since he was IN FACT BORN IN KENYA.
It was the DEMOCRATIC insistence of giving loans to people that had no way of paying them back, so thank Clinton for the collapse. Funny the economy was doing fine until the DEMOCRATS TOOK CONTROL OF THE HOUSE AND SENATE.
SNL is bought and paid for by the DEMOCRATIC PARTY so that is why you would never see the messiah and his trusty side kick portrayed in any negative light.
Barack Obama is nothing more than a Chicago thug politician. He is trying to buy the presidency of the United States, funny thing with all the ‘faults’ you say McCain and Palin have why are they even in the latest polls with the great BO???
With Barack’s $605,000,000 you think it would be enough but he still wants you kool-aid drinkers to send more– HELLO DOES THAT NOT TELL YOU ANYTHING???
Barack Obama is the WORST CANDIDATE TO EVER BE NOMINATED FOR THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT. He should go back to the Senate and perhaps do something about the state he was elected to represent.

    Wow, such a tough choice!

let’s look at it this way:
Obama- Let’s help the average person out by giving them tax breaks and eliminated tax breaks for the rich people, including me.

McCain-Now isn’t the time to raise anyone’s taxes, oh wait, you’re not raising everyone’s taxes, just us rich people?! NOW IT REALLY ISN’T THE TIME TO RAISE OUR TAXES!!!

You’ll be able to suck your own schlong before you see a meaningful tax cut from St. Obama. Why do you guys all hate each other so much? Seriously…
Like I understand difference of opinion, but why do you guys turn opinions into such huge explosions of mountainous anger and swearing?

I’m not talking about ALL Americans, as there are of course many who are NOT raving lunatics, but unfortunately, the raving lunatics are the loudest, and because your culture is now based ENTIRELY on rich stupid people, those people are the only example the rest of the world have of you.

There’s so much terribly angry opinionated argument flying around your government, your schools…christ, EVERYWHERE, that you’ve seemingly all turned into complete extremists who would easily kill someone if they didn’t agree with your closed-minded opinions.

Funny that. That’s what you hate “the terrorists” for…

I would like to say, as an American, that life is not so peachy across the pond. In the U.K. not everyone stands around holding hands and singing camps songs while roasting marshmallows, and in Russia not everyone sings the praises of Putin (who is the power behind the Russian President throne).
It is human nature to disagree, it is civilized to disagree within proper and mature discourse. That is the difference. Everyone is not going to agree with everything, that is the way of things. However, there are those out there who try to use political seats as a means to shut up those who THEY disagree with; and that is uncivilized.
For all of you peacelovin’, Bush hatin’, Sarah Palin loathin’, tax the rich until they bleed types out there, I have some words of advice. IF you want “everyone” to have an open mind, then you had better become the tolerant and accepting individuals that you proclaim you are. And that means that you tolerate and accept another persons views as a valid opinion to have. If you cannot do such a thing because you wish to stand on your principles, then welcome to the real world and quite your bitching about open-mindedness, tolerance, and acceptance.
If you disagree with my opinion in the latter part of this message, may I suggest to you a dictionary. I wouldn’t want the elites out there to not know the meaning of “tolerance” or “acceptance”…although I suppose you could take comfort in the fact that Biden thought FDR was president in ’29 (it was Hoover, by the way) and that said president FDR went on television to calm down the people. Or you can take solace in the fact that Obama thinks there’s 57 states. So I guess the “elites” among us don’t care much for history or definition; just whatever pops into their head. Good for you. *thumbs up*

Intellect IS a requirement of public office. Where has it been in the last eight years. Republicans have been feeding off little more than being devisive for too long (ala Limbaugh) and that just not getting anything accomplished. Its time for government to be about governing. To govern means to excercise authority for the good of the individual and the whole, mot to destroy the market, wage unwarrented wars, wiretap innocents, foster the destruction of the environment, ruin American standing in the world, confuse religious efforts with those of governance, and misrepresent power. I don’t see where McCain/Palin are not simply following suit with a very every negative and narrow campaign that’s chasing the dirt-bag vote hot and heavy..
