The Simpsons movie teaser trailer

April 4th, 2006 // 43 Comments

This probably would have made more sense a decade ago. Although they are releasing it on 7/7/07 so that’s pretty cool. Maybe they can schedule it so that the first showing is at 7:77 PM. I find watching movies at made-up times just makes them better.

NOTE: I’ve chosen to ignore the 2 on the 27. When you’re as psychotically good looking as I am, that’s a right you’ve earned.

Umm I guess the editor is slightly deaf… “Opening July 27th, 2007″. Then again, this early in the morning I can’t blame ya.

hmmmm. Does anyone else agree that the Simpsons aren’t as good as they used to be? I’d rather watch Family Guy.

Is there no end to the menacing cogwheel of drivel that is The Simpsons? The show is like Madonna. It’s waaaaay overstayed its welcome. It can only beg for mercy in the shadow of the far superior animated comedies Family Guy and South Park. Boycott this shite!

The Simpsons stopped being funny right after season four or five… This movie will stink even worse than Jeff Dahmer’s fridge.

Does anyone even watch The Simpsons anymore? Its been lame for a while now, just a cash cow for the network. Back in the day it was great though.

    Meh.

I’m glad FG put Stewie: The Untold Story on immediate dvd. They knew I was too busy to drag my ass to theatres and not pay for overpriced popcorn.
They also managed to figure that it wouldn’t be as great and hilarious compared to a single episode.

I still see some funny stuff on the Simpsons. Not as good as it was in the ’90s, but still better than 95% of the sitcoms out there.

Family Guy wouldn’t exist without the Simpsons.

The Simpsons is (was) the best show ever…it stopped being funny after season 7. It’s definitely outstayed it’s welcome and it makes me sad it went so downhill, and the movie will probably suck. Family Guy is definitely funnier these days. But I agree, Simpsons seasons 3-7 kick Family Guy’s ass in every way.

I like the Family Guy as well. I think it’s acceptable to like both shows, in the way that some people like Johnny Carson and Dave Letterman.

Yeah, The Simpsons lives in Suck-Land now, but even at its worst, it’s STILL better than any of the other True Crap on network TV. I’d rather watch a lame Simpsons any day than, say, that asinine new, night-time game show hosted by the germaphobic, now-bald and always-moronic Howie Mandel.

The only other thing worth watching is Family Guy, because Pe-tah is fucking INSANE! And Stewie’s so cute… I’d hit that, dirty diaper and all.

Wow, I’m totally not going to see this. Simspsons is painfully embarassing/unfunny to watch. If the actors behind this show had any iota of self-respect, they would have thrown in the towel 12 years ago when this show lost any semblance of wit. I hope the movie tanks a la Basic Instinct 2.

Um, isn’t July 2007 like, um, a really long time from now and everything?

Like, the whole planet could be completely destroyed by global warming.

Wait, that was a dam that broke from a burning boat we accidently set on fire, and then blamed on global warming. Wait, that was south park. Never mind.

Next thing you know there’ll be a big screen version of that hilarious show about that whore Russia, or Paris, or whatever, and her cooch. I bet the movie will be about this whore with a bad nose that rides every object that’s pokey-shaped…
