The New York Jets, including head coach Rex Ryan, are reportedly under investigation for unsportsman like conduct after Mexican reporter Ines Sainz (above) was subjected to suggestive comments including “hoots” and “hollers” in the team’s locker room Sunday, according to the New York Post:
Red-faced team execs said in a statement, “The New York Jets believe that reporters have a job to do, and it is our obligation to provide them with proper and professional access.
“[Team owner] Woody Johnson spoke with Ines Sainz of TV Azteca today to discuss the time she spent covering the team yesterday. He stressed to Ines that he expects all members of the Jets organization to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.”
And here’s where the story gets hilarious like any good tale involving sexual harassment:
Sainz posted a picture on Twitter of herself at the practice and, apparently to silence any critics, said she was not “inappropriately dressed.”
She had roamed the sidelines in tight jeans, high heels and a low-cut blouse as footballs spiraled in her direction.
I included the picture here, and I’m not condoning the Jets’ actions (explicitly), but anyone who brought that ass in those jeans into an NFL locker room was looking for one specific reaction and that reaction only: “Mamacita, quiero convertir esa cosa en un buffet y invitar a mis amigos a cenar revelado de salsas diversas y quacamoles. Entonces, tal vez más tarde, charadas.” Don’t play innocent with me!

In general…Ya, she’s dressed for attention, obviously wants her assets to be noticed and they were. I don’t subscribe to the notion of “she asked for it or deserved it” based on the way she is dressed. Everyone deserves to be treated respectfully and with basic human kindness. Not all Mexicans are of Aztec or Mayan (or other Natives) descent. The majority do descend from the native people of that region but Cortez and his dudes brought over many different kinds of European genes, long ago and they mixed in with the local population. As a result, there are light skinned, blond, blue eyed Mexicans that aren’t 1/2 breeds (w/USA or Canada) or ex-pats.
