There’ve been a lot of headlines recently about Taylor Momsen supposedly apologizing to her parents after she blamed them for her current state. I finally got around to reading it today and they have to be joking. This doesn’t even come close to an apology. Via Popeater:
After facing backlash — from both the public and her parents, who felt “horrible” about the interview — Momsen told Kerrang, “Don’t believe everything you read about me in the press.”
“I think my parents have learned by this point that none of [what they read] is probably true, and words can be put in your mouth,” she said.
Whoever started calling that an apology needs to let me shoot them directly in the face then say the media made it look like I did it. Because that’s exactly what just happened there. Kids tossing their baby in a dumpster took more responsibility for their actions than Taylor Momsen just did. Okay, maybe that example’s a tad extreme, but then again, it’s not like they don’t assume someone’s eventually going to find the baby. I mean, how else does do so many make it on the news? It’s all pretty logical.
