Suri Cruise is going to Catholic school?

October 13th, 2009 // 95 Comments

Despite the lack of curriculum focusing on Xenu’s many death rays, Katie Holmes has enrolled Suri in a Catholic school in Boston, according to the Daily Mail:

The family are living in the city while Tom, 47, films his new movie, the spy comedy thriller Wichita. Katie’s mother also flew in for her granddaughter’s first week at the pre-school.
‘Katie has been listening to her parents who are devout Catholics,’ I’m told.
‘She is not convinced by Scientology and has told Tom that she wants Suri to be educated as a Catholic – as she was. They had been having huge problems agreeing on her school. To say they were having arguments is putting it mildly – but Tom came around to the idea in the end.’
Holmes, 30, has not been seen at the Church of Scientology for more than five months.

Why in the E-meter would Tom Cruise agree to send Suri to a Catholic scho- oh, wait, there’s young boys in uniforms there. Case closed.

Why is it that everyone is wearing coats and pants and Suri is wearing nothing but a little summer-time dress?

Although, since others mention the sundress and starbucks… anyone notice that they have her in heels?

These people will do anything for a photo op. Maybe Katie’s parents should have custody.

She never looks terribly happy does she? I was always under the impression that children spent their early years playing with big grins of their faces.

Secondly, why is she wearing HEELS???

Oh, and thirdly, she’s hugging that Starbuck cup to keep warm, frigging parents should buy her a coat or summat.

Forget the underdressing — it’s the heels on a four-year-old that’s the real story of class and dignity here. Though I suppose they’re like a training potty for the self-respect shitter Catholic school’s going to splash up on to her kilt-wearing ass soon enough. Poor kid. I guess they’re going with the lesser of evils here.

WTF? a 3 yr old in high heels? Where are her clothes? It’s freakin cold in the northeast right now. Why is he carrying her jacket, and why does a 3 year old need a security blanket wherever she goes. Oh and where are her clothes? That looks like a summer nightgown. Looks like this kid is a major brat that tells her parents what to do.

The catholic church is a haven for closeted gays and social outcasts. Any woman who supports this church should bend over so we can also give her a good kick in the ass, just like the Catholic church.

The Catholic religion is for 3rd world people who don’t know any better. Anyone with an education would see this church for what it really is.

So they’re dismissing the belief in the alien galactic lord Xenu and opting for the belief in an invisible man in the sky? Both are sound choices to me.

No way could she go to a normal school, that would just be WEIRD, right?

    and those arent even heels.

It’s great to see celebrities out and about in the world and blending in perfectly with those around them. Although Tom and Katie are well known for their roles on the big screen, they look more down to earth in these pictures, enjoying what the day has to offer with their beautiful little daughter Suri.

Great.. Another season of cold weather is upon us and once again we get to be inspired by countless pictures of this poor-little-rich-girl. Who apparently has no sense of cold, because she’s wearing a thin, short and bare dress among a group of bundled-up adults.

These two have much more to worry about than which school to send her to.

She really is adorable, almost looks like a doll. I partially agree with #33, I don’t think a three year old should be wearing heels in public, but every little girl like to put on mommy’s shoes and lipstick, just for fun. Granted, those aren’t mommy’s shoes…

A lot of people don’t realize that we almost didn’t have:
    “By the Power of Greyskull!”

The inventor of scientology – Elron Hubbard, almost used it as part of his Xenu crap. If he’d taken that call to arms back when he made up his religion the He-Man woulda been shouting something completely different.

of course catholocism is made up too. they just don’t have a battle cry. Unless of course you count – It’s a Jew! Get ‘im! String him up!

NOT a shocker that a little girl wants to wear heels and a dress. They are obviously childrens shoes so what is the big deal? and if she was cold, I doubt she would be walking around suffering, she could wear the jacket her father is carrying. Over react much?!

When I was a kid I had dress-up heels. Granted they were plastic and looked cheap, but I would still wear them out. So I don’t see what the big deal is here. But even though she is a little kid and has a habit of taking off her coat, she needs to be wearing one here. Put a coat on her and button it up nicely so she cannot take it off so easily. I agree with Scooby, you pick your battles when you’re a parent. But she certainly needs to be wearing a coat. If she were my 3 year-old, she would be in a coat no matter how pissy she got about it.

Scientology or Catholicism…either way she’ll be educated in a mythical religion. Why can’t they just start her on a foreign language and basic social and everyday skills that she needs to be a thinking functioning person who recognizes reason instead of instilling in her a fear of where she might go when she dies if she doesn’t do what certain people say? There is no love in fear.
