Warner Bros. fired back at Simon Monjack’s claims that the studio is responsible for Brittany Murphy’s death by killing her with the burden of not voicing a singing penquin. Via E! News:
“Any claim that Warner Bros. Pictures was somehow responsible for Brittany Murphy’s tragic death is demonstrably false, reprehensible and defamatory,” they hit back in a statement.
“Despite press reports to the contrary, Warner Bros. Pictures and Ms. Murphy never entered into any deal for Happy Feet 2, and thus, there was no contract to cancel.”
Of course, this whole lawsuit debacle came into context last night when Simon Monjack was spotted outside of Chateau Marmount (above) and proceeded to plug his photography website while discussing the lawsuit. Which essentially makes him Tila Tequila. At this point, I’d suggest the two marry each other, but it’d only be a matter of time before one eventually kills the other then builds a mountain-sized billboard overselling their grief. I just couldn’t do that to the environment.
