This may come as a shock to you guys but apparently during the freakishly short time between Brittany Murphy and Simon Monjack’s deaths, he pissed through 80% of her finances, according to her business manager. On top of that, Simon’s mom also allegedly tried to kick Brittany’s mother Sharon out of the house. People reports:
“There were huge amounts of money in [Brittany's] pension plan and bank account, and all of that’s gone,” says Morgenroth. “I would see it on the statements. There was money being withdrawn by Simon, hundreds of thousands.”
Even in the wake of Monjack’s death, trouble followed. Jeannette Bycott, an assistant to Morgenroth, says she witnessed a scene in which Monjack’s mother Linda ordered Sharon to leave the couple’s Hollywood Hills house.
“Linda started acting like everything belongs to her,” says Bycott. “Before Sharon could say anything, Linda stated the house was now hers.”
This is what police detectives call a “gang-bang of motives.” Okay, maybe they don’t use that term, but they should. First, you have Sharon Murphy who’s being kicked out of her daughter’s home by her shady con-man son-in-law who just farted through the entire estate. Then, you have the con-man’s mother who wants her hand on that cash and house and probably isn’t too happy her son got sloppy with the whole charity scam. She taught him better than that. Also, Simon’s mom is the one who floated the mold theory as the cause of his and Brittany’s death even though somehow Sharon is perfectly healthy and says there’s no mold. If this was an episode of CSI: Miami, Horatio Caine wouldn’t know what the fuck.

She was awesome. I was always kind of pissed that she didn’t have Jessica Alba’s role in Sin City. Her readings also cracked me up on King of the Hill… and, yeah, I was a little bummed when she died and the sheer fact that she was married to that guy. She was also really good in Don’t Say A Word with Michael Douglas. It didn’t make a lot of money, but she was good in it. As far as her voice work, she was a female lead in Happy Feet. With that job, she showed that she also had a pretty decent singing voice too.

She was quite a good actress and played many different characters; I just saw her in The Devil’s Arithematic and thought she did an excellent job. It was a very touching role…I am quite sad her life ended at so young an age.

First of all I LOVE BRITTANY as an actress & I think it was a big loss.. She was just gettin her footin back & then she gets sick & passes away.. Brittany Murphy was a great actress. She did make it. She was also in 8 Miles with Eminem and when she did that awesome show with Michael Douglas, I was blown away and was asking everyone, “Who is that?’ Anyways, I’m sad that she died. Also, at one time she dated Ashton Kutcher. I can’t believe anyone would say that she didn’t “make it” in the industry. She’s one of our top A-list actresses. Rest In Peace, Brittany. You are in a much better place now.
