Scott Brown wants you to do these

January 20th, 2010 // 139 Comments

While giving his victory speech last night, Massachusetts Senator-Elect Scott Brown felt it’d be a great opportunity to pimp his daughters by announcing they’re “available” on national television. (Have them waxed, Senator, and I’ll be there momentarily with the customary payment of goats.) Despite managing to appeal to Commie Liberals like myself, Glenn Beck of all people decided to fly off the reservation during his radio show today and criticize the GOP’s new Golden Boy. Via Mediaite:

“I want a chastity belt on this man,” he said, while his producer tried to justify Brown’s comments. “I want his every move watched in Washington. I don’t trust this guy…This one could end with a dead intern. I’m just saying, it could end with a dead intern.

Just, hey, there a minute, Glenn Beck. If this guy wants to make a binding verbal agreement that I can have sex with both his daughters, that’s his God-given right as an American. Sure, I wasn’t happy about his win, but democracy has spoken and we should let it play out as our forefathers intended. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some freedom to love until I fall asleep on top of it in less than five minutes. Ladies?

We have the unique opportunity to make a difference. Having one party control both houses of Congress is tyrannical. We can change that by voting for Scott Brown. Let’s look at the good of the whole country. We have voted Democratic in every election, but this time we need to have a different voice heard. We need health care reform, but we also need some discussion and not everything done behind closed doors. Wouldn’t it be great if Massachusetts were the state that could get this done?

Face it bud, Brown won because American’s are sick of the liberals leading the nation. Note that’s coming from a socially liberal, Republican who hates Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly.

Brown was simply making a joke about his daughters not pimping them out and Glenn Beck is simply a moronic, watered down, pathetic version of conservatism. It makes me sick that people base all of their knowledge of the conservative movement off of the pompous idiots Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly.

Why don’t you get back to what you’re good at? Commenting on celebrity shenanigans and hot girls. Thanks.

Did you know that the great state of Massachusetts REQUIRES all of it’s citizens to have health insurance? And if they can afford it, but choose not to have it, they’re fined a tax penalty? And that everyone who is over a certain income bracket pays extra taxes to provide health insurance for those living in the poverty level?

It’s a liberal state, which voted to have a social healthcare system, supported by extra taxes, to cover all citizens… and they voted in a conservative douche bag, who doesn’t believe abortion should be legal for anyone, even rape victims, and that health insurance for women should exclude mammograms and maternity leave (kind of important if you’re a woman, don’t you think?!).

Maybe people in Mass don’t like the social experiment called mandatory health insurance. Ever thought about that? Maybe it was forced upon them by their dictators in the state senate.

When Americans are pissed off at their government, we like to do a little thing called throwing a big wrench into the system to shake things up. That’s called democracy. Anyone who was happy with the Democrats controlling every aspect of our government needs to seriously think about moving to China. Yeah I’m talking to you Fish and #16. You guys are idiots.

#14 Actually “Communism” isn’t responsible,…no where in any communist docterine does it say “go out and kill people” Regimes who have subscribed to communism have been responsible for those deaths, but to say that communism = murder and/or that anyone who suggests communism could be good, means that

And I have to thank the White Trash element for coming out in droves to be knee-jerk reactionaries to the efforts of the Obama Administration and the Democrat-controlled Congress for Scott “Check Out My Skidmarks” Brown.

We come here to see Miranda Kerr’s ass and Heidi Montag’s immoveable face, so political discussion is moronic at best. So before I go further, let’s all just agree that the worst thing to happen in 2010 is, quite obviously, the popularization in the contemporary lexicon of the word “Snooki.”

Also, keep abortion legal. It might help us avoid future Snookis and Heidis.

#16 That’s what happens when the GOP uses the “Call up all the old people and tell them if they don’t vote republican they’re going to die and be pushed out in the street” (they have gangs of people who visit old folks homes now.)
Pat “Hati was destroyed because they’re cursed for making a deal with the Devil” Robertson tells his “flock” to tell their congregations that Jesus will hate them if they don’t vote republican etc…

Stupid people are maliable and can be rallied very quickly, whereas normal thinking people have distractions like doing brain surgery, making new medicines, trying to teach our children etc.. We don’t have a Glenn Beck, a Bill Oreily or a Rush Limbaugh directly wired into our decision making process so it’s harder to mobilize us. I know it’s a crime. If only we were sheep and had someone we could blindly follow. Then we could win elections even BEFORE the republicans screw everything up to the point of anything possible seeming better.

#12- It’s comments like yours (“Face it bud, Brown won because American’s are sick of the liberals leading the nation.”) that frustrate me beyond belief and sadly a lot of people think that way.

I’m somewhat liberal, and I’m the first to admit that there are tons of problems in the country right now. But liberals have been leading the nation for a year. That’s it. ONE year. The backlash against Obama is so unbelievable considering it took many years of irresponsibility to cause the financial meltdown. Giving someone a few months to declare them a success or failure is absurd.

I actually don’t think it’s a bad thing for Brown to have won. I’ve always been a fan of balance and moderation (which is why people on the far right and the far left scare me) but your comment illustrates something that’s bothered me for years. As a society we are extremely impatient and we need to learn that most things don’t happen quickly. Again, this isn’t even about Brown. I don’t know much about him so I don’t want to form an opinion. I’m just frustrated when people expect instant gratification when most things, especially in politics, don’t happen quickly.

so…lets all remember it was a close election. before all the southern, bible thumping, brain-washed republicans get too excited and start shouting about how ‘the people oppose obama’s health care,’ remember that just under half voted for coakley. and i would say the coakley votes say a lot more…

as someone who lives in mass, i can tell you the RNC really spared no expense in pushing this male sarah palin. the 8 phone calls i got on election day were especially annoying…whether or not i was voting for him. he scared the living daylights out of the poor, young, and uneducated about coakley ‘raising their taxes.’ i also know pretty much anyone who attended mass in a catholic church on sunday (which would be a relatively high number in mass) go the ‘vote as a catholic, vote for life’ crap (aka vote for scott brown). so keep in mind some of these people got brainwashed there; health care was NOT their primary issue. people who voted for coakley did it because they support her policies; many people who voted for scott brown did it because the RNC went on a crusade and played off its usual victims. for some reason this happens all the time; we did it with mitt romney. pretty boy who makes promises about saving a few bucks in a state which admittedly spends a lot.

this really will prove to be a huge mistake. we know nearly nothing about this man, except that he doesn’t like to raise taxes and isn’t really female friendly. he didn’t have the chance to make a palin-esque fool out of himself in this campaign, but he will. he’s the typical pretty, not so bright, ‘every man’ (even though he’s not), friendly type. i have to say i don’t think there will be a dead intern…but there is certainly going to be some scandal here…affair at the least. look at the man. his daughters are beautiful but his wife is pretty fat.

as far as whoring out his daughters – i am pretty sure its public knowledge that he already had. if memory serves me well, i remember hearing about some state rep’s stage-mom horror a while back, and only made the connection that it was this particular state rep recently. come on – the man posed naked in cosmo, his wife is a tv anchor, and one of his daughters was on american idol…are we surprised he is chasing the fame bus by running for senator? NOPE. in fact, i think brown doesn’t give much of a crap about actual politics so much as he likes his own face. perhaps the whole family can make their big spotlight dreams come true with a reality show about the life of a senate family until the people of mass come to their senses and elect someone else next time.

the more i think about it, the more i wonder how people don’t see what a fame whore he is, what a joke this is, and what a disaster it is going to end in.

Yeah, Ted Kennedy won that seat 47 years ago, it’s been the most reliably blue seat in the country. For Brown to win means that he took a lot of Democrats with him, there’s only 12% registered Republicans in the state. I don’t think he’s even that much of a conservative, just not a Democrat.

Obama also proved once again that he has no coattails. He couldn’t deliver the Olympics or the Copenhagen deal, now this. His handlers have got to stop sending him into situations unless they already know the result, it just makes him look weak.

It’s only been one year of a Democrat president, but now 3 years of a Democrat-controlled House and Senate. The place where bills are written and sent up for passage. They need to teach Civics in school.

#35 you just look stupid making comments like that. First one to cry ‘racist!’ loses.

@37 If you live in MA you should realize that the RNC had nothing to do with Brown until the last 10 days of his campaign when they finally realized that he had a shot. They never would have taken notice of him if he hadn’t gained the support that he had during months of campaigning. For better or for worse, he did this on his own.

The fact that you say the Coakely votes “say a lot more” is hilarious. In a state with only 12% registered Republicans, a little under 40% registered Democrats, and approximately 50% Independents that consistently votes overwhelmingly in favor of the left, what would the Coakley votes possibly say? That 47% of those that voted continued to vote exactly the way the entire country expected them to? What a surprise.

And for the record, the vast majority of MA Catholics that I know almost ALWAYS vote for Democrats (especially the older ones — this is the land of the Kennedys, after all).

You’re right, though. If i wanted to “chase the fame bus” I would definitely do so by becoming a selectman and a MA State Rep. His father, who was a city councilor for 18 years, must have been equally as big of a “fame whore”.

i dunno if capuano or pagliuca had beaten coakley in the primary if scott brown could have even pulled this off. but good for him! pretty impressive in this state, anyway.

#18- social experiment called mandatory health insurance? You might like to know that ALL civilised Western countries have universal health insurance. Health care is a public concern because disease is communicable. I like Americans (have been there on numerous occasions) but my friends and I are always amazed at the (seeming) gullibility of the general populace to the power of the Conservative media/Pharmaceutical/Health lobby. Universal healthcare is necessary and nothing to be frightened of. It might even assist your moribund economy – ie, citizens will have more money to consume other goods and services (that they are saving by not paying crippling health costs)…. you need to beware, America, you already owe the Chinese 3 trillion dollars…. soon, they will own you…. so wake up! Enjoy the benefits that the rest of us do and ignore the vested interests- especially Conservative politicians who seem to be in the pay of Health/FoxNews/Private Health Insurance providers.
