Oscar-winner Renee Zellweger and country singer Kenny Chesney have filed court papers seeking an annulment after five months of really awkward sex.
Publicist Nanci Ryder confirmed that Zellweger and Chesney, who stunned the entertainment world in May with a marriage on a beach in the Caribbean, had split.
Well, I wouldn’t say we were stunned. Sure, I looked up at the TV in slight bewilderment when Mary Hart mentioned that they had gotten married, but that’s only because I realized I was watching “ET” and had to change the channel. To be honest, I’m still not entirely certain who this Kenny character is. And when did Renee Zellweger win an Oscar? Was it for Cold Mountain? Because I thought that was just a bad dream. Sigh. So many unanswered questions. I blame Mary Hart.

Shit! I was hoping they’d be my illegitimate child’s godparents, since their tender love story and courtship details were proof positive that they’d last forever. I’m flabbergasted, I thought you knew after five months of dating! I mean, I didn’t know Rex was going to end up going to prison for running an underground combination Kid’z tattoo parlor and cigar bar in our basement, but we had only been screwing for about four months.
