To steer the franchise in a direction that even the visionary genius of Jim Henson could only imagine. What if, instead of puppets real people played the The Muppets? Would the big wigs at the studio invest in his new vision? He knew that it came down to one simple, but essential idea. Casting. But who in Hollywood could take on such a weighty role?
