Paris Hilton’s parents visited Paris in jail for the first time yesterday, and were allowed to skip the line at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility, once again sparking concerns of preferential treatment. One visitor said she had to wait four hours instead of the usual two because of the Hiltons. Another visitor said she was asked to leave the jail’s visiting room soon after her husband walked in because of the Hiltons, and was told to return after lunch. Additionally, Paris is being housed in the medical ward, which costs $1,109.78 a day to house a female inmate compared to $99.64 a day in the general population. The AP reports:
Mary Tiedeman, who regularly visits the jails as a monitor for the ACLU, said the area where Hilton was being housed was usually reserved for high-security inmates or those worse off than Hilton has appeared. “I don’t know what her health issue is, but you have got to have a pretty intense medical or mental health problem to be in that part of the jail,” she said.
Anybody who thought Paris would be treated fairly must be completely out of their mind. Judging by the way she’s been treated so far I’m surprised they haven’t awarded her the Congressional Medal of Honor and bought her a pony.

If you have herpes, major stress causes breakouts. I bet the reason she didn’t eat or drink for three days was because she has some hellish lesions going on and she knew that even if the guards didn’t take snapshots, they’d for sure tell the press!!
I was so happy she had to serve out her entire sentence. I think it was really unfair that she had been released, and even that she had her sentence reduced to only 23 days.

First… it was a half-serious remark suggesting that her own money is being used to keep her locked up.
Second… based on the article above, it costs approximately $1,110.00 a day to house her in the medical ward. Even if she spent the full 45 day sentence there, the bill would be around $50,000.00. You don’t think the state of CA collects $50,000.00 a year in sales/property/income taxes from the Hiltons?

Even though Paris gets ‘special treatment’ in most of our eyes, I think we all fail to realize to her, this is hell! She’d probably have a heart attack if she was in a real prison, and I’m not kidding. Not many of us get to live in her usual living conditions and I believe overall, even though we think she doesn’t have it that bad, it’s really very horrible for her. christ – it had completely slipped my mind that someone like Paris Hilton might actually have biological parents. Kinda just figured that she was the result of a fertility experiment that went badly wrong when the test-tube got mixed up with a stool-sample.
She hurt the brand from the start with all her antics, but this just crosses the line. At the same time it is generating publicity, whether negative or positive, it’s still getting her out there in the media.
