An attorney for Paris Hilton issued the following statement today on behalf of Paris:
“I want to thank the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and staff of the Century Regional Detention Center for treating me fairly and professionally. I am going to serve the remaining 40 days of my sentence. I have learned a great deal from this ordeal and hope that others have learned from my mistakes.”
There’s a lot of words you’d use to describe Paris Hilton’s treatment by the legal system but ‘fair’ wouldn’t be one of them. They could’ve sent her to Disneyland for a week and it would’ve been more fair than what she got.

Has anyone noticed a rather strong lack of vocal activity on the part of any of Paris’s ‘friends’, since her (paid) escape from jail and now her return? Maybe once the money that came from her grandfather’s hard work, and flowed thru her mommy & daddy’s always open hands to her, stopped coming, her ‘friends’ decided she wasn’t worth it. That’s probably why she’s crying so much today, because she realized that money can’t buy everything, including freedom and real friends. It’s lonely in that ivory tower, but she put herself there.
If you think she has learned or will learn a lesson from this, think again. The only thing she’s learned is that NEXT time she does something stupid (and she will), she needs to get mommy & daddy to spend more money trying to buy her way out of it.
