Paris Hilton’s five month engagement to Paris is officially over, as she made a statement on Saturday saying that she isn’t ready for marriage because she’s still young and isn’t ready to give up her “very active career.”
“I have seen the breakups between people who love each other and rush into getting married too quickly,” Hilton said in a statement released to The Associated Press. “I do not want to make that mistake… I’m still young and still have a very active career that I’m not prepared to give up. I have worked very hard to get to where I am. Paris is a great guy and we will handle this with dignity and respect.”
I’m not sure what Paris Hilton means by having a “very active career” but I can only imagine it involves a lot of sex with strangers and possible taping of sex with strangers. Because last I checked, showing up at events and occasionally posing half naked in men’s magazines doesn’t really qualify as an “active career.” It’s more of a thing you do when you’re desperate and unemployed, and nobody likes you unless your breasts are exposed.
