NBC has agreed to pay Paris Hilton $1 million for her first after-jail interview which will appear on the “Today” show. Paris agreed to the interview, but said she’d only speak with Meredith Vieira because of “disparaging” remarks her co-host Matt Lauer made about her. ABC execs are pissed at the news because they were expecting Paris’ first interview to go to Barbara Walters.
Although the real loser in all this is America. Paris Hilton is basically getting paid $1 million for 23 days of jail time. Man, I really should have tried harder to secure this Paris Hilton interview. Wait, what do you call it when you repeatedly hit somebody with a bat? Interview, right? Isn’t that called an interview?
She should be shot. Or at least become jail bait.

Just saw a headline today that NBC News is denying the entire story, saying that they never pay for interviews. Apparently ABC leaked the rumor to the NY Post who ran with it.
Making news up when there is no news … that’s what they do best.
Unbelievable…the money should be donated to charity, shame on NBC! As far as Paris and her parents are concerned, they still have not accepted the fact that she is a CRIMINAL. I have heard nothing but how it is unfair and unjust and she shouldn’t be treated this way. She is the WORST KIND OF CRIMINAL, the kind that doesn’t give a hoot and I really doubt that she got the message because I have yet to hear her say she screwed up and could have killed someone. I agree with #18, no matter who dislikes Paris it doesn’t matter, she is still not an average person, she’s a celebrity, and she makes that money because people pay it.
