Oprah’s private jet was forced to land yesterday when a bird hit the windshield and cracked it.
Winfrey and her boyfriend, Stedman Graham, were not hurt in the incident, which occurred around 12:30 p.m. Monday just after the GulfStream jet had taken off from Santa Barbara Municipal Airport, said Santa Barbara Fire Department spokesman John Ahlman.

On the next Oprah, a shocking report of bird strikes and what they mean to you.

I thought she ditched Stedman awhile back.

New reports state that it was just wear and tear that caused the windshield to crack…which leads me to ask what the hell she was doing on her window.

don’t worry if you get arrested by the homeless police. if they convict you, they subtract 3/4 of a normal sentence to accamodate a hobo murder. i’m sure he didn’t feel a thing, being hopped up on cheap wine and windex

This guy. Could you imagine being Mr. Oprah Winfrey. I thought Federline had it bad. This would be the ultimate cuz at least Britney was decent lookin’ at one time. I can’t help but think of that movie ‘Gorillas in The Mist’ when I see Oprah.

I suspect that the plane hit the bird, not vice-versa.
The jet was “forced to land” which implies that it was flying–not sitting on the tarmac–when the unsuspecting avian was anniliated.
I’ve also never heard of a bird dive-bombing itself into the windshield of a parked plane.
I’m a bird-lover, and it’s very sad, but these things happen around airports. I think it might be a stretch to call it the bird’s ‘fault’ though.

HollyJ: These are troubling times. For all you know the bird could have been a terrorist after one of America’s treasures. Did anybody check for a turban?

“Today, it was discovered that Oprah’s plane was NOT, after all, dive-bombed by the rare Burka Bird.”
