Quite a bit of what the Dream Team did, really skirted the outer limits of professional responsibility. Had there been a tougher judge than Ito on the bench, it would have been a much different trial.
I don’t really care that much about the verdict, since rich people usually beat state charges. State DAs are not practiced at going against high powered attorneys; they usually beat up on opponents with far fewer resources than the DA’s office has. When the run into someone who can match them dollar for dollar, things often don’t go well. It’s tougher for the rich in Federal court, since the government’s resources are much more extensive.
