Nick Lachey’s dream of being an actor has turned into a failure. His TV pilot, which would have been on the WB, was given the axe yesterday. A source says:
“There are only so many openings on the new network. Nick’s show didn’t make the cut.”
As more time passes Nick will realize his life is a mess without Jessica, and that his friends, fans, parents, and pet lizard only liked him because Jessica did. He’s like all those washed up athletes in Texas, with huge beer bellies who always mutter to themselves, “We should have won state, we should have won state.”

Yawn. I read this on Hollywood Rag way earlier this morning. We wait this long for a new story and this is what we get? Lame. However, that last bit about “We should have won state” brings to mind some hilarity from Napoleon Dynamite. “How much you wanna bet I can throw this football over that mountain?”

Old news… Better news:
Nick Lachey signing on to appear in He Said, She Said, a comedy pilot for the CW, per TV Guide. According to Us Weekly, the newly formed network passed on another project starring Lachey that was originally slated for the WB.

He’ll get other chances. Girls think he’s cute.

Meh, at least he must be doing better than the rest of his band. Who were they again?
miadm2002 | March 9, 2006 at 2:46 pm
Nick was his own person before Jessica, and he will be his own person again. He just needs time for the ditzy blond routine to wear off.

Nick Lachey’s face makes my vulva dry. Dry like the Mohave Desert.

Why doesn’t he make a movie with his hero Bruce Willis. i bet they’d have good chemistry.
Hey, make it a gay movie… big bucks!

At this point KFed is doing better than Nick. KFed at least still has a wife.

Wow. How horribly bad an actor are you if you can’t even get a show on the WB?

I see Nick Lachey as the host of many future Miss America pageants.
Dunkeshein, darlin’ Dunkeshein……

That’s really to bad, I for one love Nick, and hope he does not give up. I think he can still make it.. Go Nick

It’s really pathetic that your readers have to give you the stories (mic42 on March 9, 2006 02:31 PM). I have been enjoying your site for a couple months and haven’t been able to understand why other bloggers hate you so much. Until…
“He’s like all those washed up athletes in Texas, with huge beer bellies who always mutter to themselves, ‘We should have won state, we should have won state.’”
WTF??? That’s so out of left field. Do you lack so much humor and wit that you’ve had to resort to irrelevant insults?!
Btw, I think in Texas they are actually saying, “WE WON THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, WE WON THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.”
Rusty | March 9, 2006 at 4:56 pm
#14, it was my assumption that the writer of this blog resorts to insults quite often, and we find it funny. That one wasn’t irrelevant…I knew exactly what he meant. I don’t think it was a slam against Texas. Or maybe it was, I don’t know.
I get the feeling that no matter what Nick Lachey does, it won’t be terribly well-received, no matter how good it is.

The guy will find a vehicle. For what and to what end, that is the question.
I hope he does good. He seemed normal and put up with a nitwit of a wife. That deserves something other than the millions he will soon be pocketing.
Rock on dude.

Nick Lachey isn’t interesting/good looking enough to build a whole show around… I could see if he was a dynamic super personality with looks and all but in actuality, he’s decent looking and mildly tolerable as a human being. I guess all it takes to get a show in Hollywood is to marry a dumb blond and build an entire show around how dumb she is and you are for marrying her and guest star on Charmed. Im moving to Hollywood soon.. sounds easy enough.

I think this guy is the most patient guy in the world. Once he had Jessica a few times putting up with her stupidity must have been painful.
maggixial | March 9, 2006 at 5:51 pm
I don’t know why but I just can’t hate him, must’ve been the “manties”.

K-fed apparently isn’t so much a (slimy) man as a (slimy) force of nature.
Even topsoil isn’t that fertile.

I like him. Felt sorry for him ‘coz he had to be married to a tree stump. Hope something comes along for him.

Who cares? He’s gonna be rich anyway. Jessica did not sign a prenup when she married Nick when he was more famous than she was. And now the converse is going to work for him. I’d like to marry a rich stupid blond babe too. Where do I find them, Nick?
