Last week, Miley Cyrus just assumed she’s Miley Cyrus and can say whatever the hell she wants about whoever the hell she wants, particularly Internet flash-in-the-pans like Rebecca Black. Except after saying, “You shouldn’t just be able to put a song on YouTube and go out on tour,” Satan revealed himself by somehow causing Miley to walk back her statements at the Kids’ Choice Awards, according to E! News:
“I am a fan of Rebecca Black,” Cyrus assured us earlier today. “I love Rebecca Black. I just got misquoted. I think she’s great.”
The 18-year-old starlet is such a fan we may even be seeing a Miley rendition of Black’s hit song in the near future.
“I actually have this really embarrassing video that my sister has on her phone,” she says, “and I’m just waiting till the day that she puts it on YouTube. It’s me driving, singing Rebecca Black and my hands are not always on the wheel while I’m singing the song. Not so good.”
It appears I’ve underestimated this Rebecca Black… *stares out window of Death Star*
On a related, and equally terrifying note, I have to ask: With celebrities like Miley and Lindsay™ driving around like idiots, not to mention all the women and Asians, how are the streets of California not lined with severed limbs? And before everyone gets bent out of shape, true story: Just the other day I was at a four-way stop and watched a car try to turn left and go straight at the time. The driver? An Asian dude. Had it been a woman, my ghost would be typing this right now. Stereotypes save lives, folks.
