Michelle Williams had Heath Ledger drug video pulled

February 1st, 2008 // 54 Comments

Michelle Williams’ reps at ID public relations successfully pulled off a campaign to stop Entertainment Tonight from airing a video that showed Heath Ledger at a hotel party in 2006 where he talked about doing drugs. ET had paid $200,000 for the video, but ultimately opted not to air it after Michelle’s reps e-mailed several celebs. Page Six reports:

Paramount, the studio behind “ET,” was soon flooded with calls. Scarlett Johansson text-messaged: “As if Heath’s poor family doesn’t have enough to suffer through.” A rep for Johansson confirmed she “was involved.” “ET” producers also got a call from Natalie Portman and e-mails from Josh Brolin and Sarah Jessica Parker, said a source.

Sarah Jessica Parker? Yikes! You better do what she says or else she’ll show up at your office in a maelstrom of horseface and high heels. Nobody wants that. Not even Matthew Broderick.

Some of you guys are really mean. Why behave like that? It’s not necessary. Personally, I say, think what you want, but just be nice about it. And as for Heath, well I have my own opinion, but I think it would be better if I just keep them to myself. Be nice; there’s no need for such hurtful words.

He is so handsome. He looks familiar. OMG, I saw his profile with some photos on richsoulmate.com, where celebrities, pro athletes, beauty queens and wealthy singles mingle. The profile looks sincere and attractive. Maybe sometimes they really need a soul mate rather than a rich buddy. It’s said some celebs have found their perfect match there.

First off, I agree with what some others have said, which is WE DO NOT KNOW ALL THE FACTS.

    1. That video was taken two years ago and I didn’t see him use any drugs in it. Just because you are around people that use drugs, doesn’t mean you do it. I know because I have been around them, but never used them.

    2. Even if, he was a drug user, it just shows that he was human like everyone else. He may of not been addicted, he may of just used socially, we don’t know and may never know for sure.

    3. When someone is on drugs, they have a problem, and until you have went through it first hand or had a parent that has, then you don’t know ANYTHING. Drugs are powerful and usually once you are addicted, you stay that way. It doesn’t mean you don’t love other people, that’s irrelative when you’re an addict. When someone is on drugs they don’t truly comprehend how much they are hurting themselves and the ones around them.

People should be careful what they say because it will come back to bite you.

Heath RIP and also whoever said that where were all the Hollywood people when Brad Renfro died? Firstly, Brad used to be a pretty big deal but he kind of wasn’t acting as much since he got older. My guess is because of his drug habit, which was widely known because he’d been busted before. He wasn’t that big of a deal in Hollywood anymore and alot of actors had probably never met him. The ones that had played in movies with him did say stuff about him publicly like Bijou Phillips. It’s just a tragedy on both accounts and I don’t think it is for anyone of us to judge either one of them (Heath or Brad). You can make your smart little comments and try to put them both down or try to make them out to be druggies, but like I said before what goes around comes around.
