Meg Ryan, star of such movies as Crap and Crap 2: the Craptathlon, will adopt a Chinese baby later today, according to OK! magazine. The adoption is scheduled to take place at an American consulate in China. An insider tells the publication, “The consulate will formalize the adoption and grant Meg’s new daughter a visa and a social security number. They will probably be flying back to the US immediately after the process is complete.”
China is like the Wal-Mart of adoptions. You touch down at the airport in Beijing and they just start throwing babies and fortune cookies at you. But good for Meg. Now all she needs to do is name the baby Lo Pan and teach it to shoot fire from its eyes.
I guess her son needed a new toy, he’s about that age to start playing with toys made in China. Maybe Meg just felt so bad for buying shit made in the sweat shops, or it was a trade, all new Gucci in return for adopting a kid. And if there are so many orphans in China, maybe they need to stop procreating. FFS, it is now the U.S.’s responsibility to adopt the third worlds orphans too?

I’m surprised at everyone’s reaction to adrock2xander. This website is called “The Superficial, because you’re ugly” so what do you expect? As for these celebrities who adopt babies from other countries…. Well let’s just say that most celebrities aren’t dealing with a full deck. They are all just plain weird in some way shape or form. I think it’s because they have so much money that they get bored easily and well they honestly think they are above everyone because they are catered to 24 hours a day. They even have to follow kooky religions like Madonna and Tom Cruise. Being Baptist or Catholic just isn’t good enough for them.
I think we should educate and provide contraception to counties who reproduction rate is so high that so many children are being born to horrible conditions. I think its funny that people are acting like she’s adopting a dog. “Good for her, the child is so needy”. People don’t adopt children for the sake of pity. They adopt children because they want children. Imagine how miserable it would be to raise a child just because you felt sorry for her.
I agree that we do need to take care of the children here first. But I also concede that it is much harder to adopt domestic. Which kills me because any idiot can pop out a kid, but if you’re not driving the right car, you’re not good enough to adopt.

I personally have adopted a son internationally and am currently in the process of adopting a daughter from the same country. If you are truly trying to have “fun” and think everyone should “lighten up”, maybe you should stick with comments on subjects you personally understand and are familiar with so that no one feels demeaned. Adoption whether it be domestic or international is not to be taken lightly no matter if a celebrity or non-celebrity is the one adopting. This is a LONG process, emotional process; it is a journey to unite families together forever. Any child being adopted by someone who is DESIRING to be a mother or father to this child is one less child that is motherless/fatherless.
Would be nice for you to have your “fun” in the future at your own expense if you feel this need instead of at the expense of a well intentioned act of love.
