Madonna’s Just Like Nelson Mandela And Martin Luther King Jr., You Guys

Madonna is no stranger to saying absolutely tone-deaf shit that most people not surrounded by sycophants would have the right mind to never to say out loud, so it’d only make sense that she’d use Photoshopped images of Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., Princess Di, and others to promote her new album “Rebel Heart” on Instagram. Except there’s a perfectly rational explanation for this, and it’s her fans did it. They’re the ones to blame! She was only trying to honor the dead! Via Facebook:

“I’m sorry
I’m not comparing my self to anyone
I’m admiring and acknowledging there Rebel Hearts
This is niether a crime or an insult or racist!
I also did it with Michael jaclson and frida khalo and marilyn monroe
Am I saying I am them
I’m saying they are Rebel Hearts too.
I didn’t do it
My fans did
And I just re posted those photos
My fans aren’t racist either
If they put me in the same category as these other people
Thank you. I’m very flattered and I hope one day to live up to 1 100th of what those people accomplished.” – Madonna

And while Madonna maybe could’ve gotten away with calling these people “rebels” with only a mild-to-heavy stink of self-promotion about it, she completely shot herself in the foot with this next photo because it’s Miley Cyrus. She put Miley Cyrus in the same category as Martin Luther King Jr. Goddamn James Earl Ray showed more respect to the man. Jesus Christ.
