Friends of Lindsay Lohan have recently come forward to say she’s not going to live without going to rehab, and apparently even the cops have noticed. TMZ reports:
Cops who see Lindsay at her worst — late nights and early mornings when she needs assistance avoiding the paparazzi — tell TMZ they have been concerned about her “erratic behavior” and “attitude,” which have grown progressively worse over the last few months.
We’re told during one of Lindsay’s crazier nights out recently, cops became so concerned they discussed taking her in for a 5150 evaluation.
Cops decided against it because she didn’t meet all the criteria for a 5150 — they felt she could still take care of herself, though feebly.
So basically Lindsay Lohan is no different than any other crackhead on these officers’ beat, except she gets into a chauffeured car instead of pissing on a fire hydrant. (Most of the time.) Am I reading that right?

I am not a fan of Lindsey Lohan. I actually get a sick sense of happiness to see her downward spiral. I think I have that sense because I am a single mom with two kids and I am living and surviving off of about $1500 per month. I have two happy, healthy kids who are thriving… on that note, I also feel a tinge of sadness for her. She has blown through more money then I will ever see in my life, she has been so misdirected by her ‘friends’ and (fucked up) family. She has no real ‘support’ system. Just people using her and watching her spiral down and they keep enabling her. She had a chance that so many people will never have. A chance at a lifestyle that very few people can ever hope to achieve. She is now a waste. With what? A bunch of yes people who don’t actually give a shit about her and others placing bets on when she will OD.
I may be a single mom who is basically dirt poor but my life is so much richer then anything she will ever HOPE to experience. I have real friends and family. In a way I guess I pity her. It used to be entertaining but now it is just sad to watch. Someone in her life needs to pull her out of her world and do what Jamie Spears did to Britney.
When folks like Morrison, Hendrix, Joplin, Cobain, Phoenix, etc die young they become legends, but only because they have a small but incredible body of work that warrants the adulation. Are we going to remember this girl for Freaky Friday or that Herbie remake?
She is a pleasure junkie – not just drugs, but anything that feels good, like sex or attention or whatever.
Its too bad, I love girls like that – but if you give them a few million dollars they will use it to bliss themselves to death – guaranteed.

I’m just so sick of this bitch. Who even cares? When has she given a shit about anybody but herself? If she wants to kill herself, then she should just get on with it. There are lots of people with real problems out there, and she isn’t one of them. I would care not a bit if she disappeared off the face of the earth. Yea, I’ve heard (although it’s probably totally made up) that she wants to be like Marilyn Monroe. Sadly, I just don’t see it happening. She won’t die at her peak. She’s been going down for like 5 years now or something. At best we’ll remember her for being that really obviously coke-addicted girl who was a lesbian for a while. At best we’ll remember her for that.
all Randal-esque fake hugs n rainbows aside, Lindsey, when younger, really did shine as an actress. her movies are very watchable, and she’s good in them. She was adorable as a child actress, and cute as a young adult actress. she’s never, IMO, been as hot as she was in “mean girls”. but somewhere along the line, some one fed her a line, probably that she needed to be thinner (since, in “mean girls”, she was slightly curvy) and it went downhill from there, the drugs, and trying too hard, and “living fast” have taken their toll. this girl should be pitied. and helped. people usually have no sympathy for her, since she’s making such a spectacle of herself, and bad behavior is (in a way) encouraged: “don’t be boring”, “there’s no such thing as bad press”, etc etc. but I maintain that if lindsey lives long enough, she has the makings of being a (no kidding) really great actress, and certainly a better person. i just wish someone who really cares about her would do something, but, hell, look at her family: the mom is a horror, the dad is just as bad (if not worse) and the kind of people she’s surrounded by (retinue, entourage, agents, yes people, enablers) are just watching it all go down.

I don’t know why everyone says she’s a good actress… you can tell she is not being herself, she’s just “acting” the role of the poor troubled starlet, and not very well at that. And her movies are like watching someone terribly constipated trying to act or prove their self-worth or something.
That said, you guys who have no sympathy for her at all are fucked up. She is the result of very, very bad parenting, and then being pushed into the role of taking responsibility for herself with no sense of proper judgement at all (thanks mommy and daddy,) in an environment full of every kind of self destructive temptation imaginable.
