Those attending the wedding of Lance Armstrong and Sheryl Crow may now return the tandem bike you bought them. The couple have released a statement that they are breaking-up after two years of dating and a four month engagement.
“After much thought and consideration we have made a very tough decision to split up. We both have a deep love and respect for each other and we ask that everyone respect our privacy during this very difficult time,” the statement said.
Though the two make it sound like it was a joint decision, I imagine it had something to do with her engagement ring being a yellow strip of rubber.

I actually kinda like her music; maybe it’s because it’s such a far-cry from what I usually listen to, and sometimes I just need a change.
That being said, I don’t know much about her personally because I’ve never been one to gape and gawk and immerse myself into famous people’s lives. I like various people for what they do, not who they are, because 99% of the time, they are selling a ‘product’ that is not an accurate portrayal of themselves.

I really like Sheryl a lot but her last album really sucked. Now, hopefully she has material to write about on the next one. Incidentally, I saw her in concert one week before the announced split and after she said she was going to sing Strong Enough, she asked the audience if they were strong enough to hear the song. Jeejee, you said that you didn’t care about their personalitites outside of the realms of their careers – shouldn’t it be the other way around? A world-renown surgeon who beats her kids when she gets home from work is still a worthless bitch, in my eyes, no matter how much money she makes or how much she is admired by everyone else in the world.
I feel bad for Sheryl. I dated a cyclist for longer than she did, and although he was not nearly as talented as that asshole Lance, he did become obsessed with the sport and eventually chose the sport over me. I was like her – I went to as many of his races as I could, I cheered for him, learned about the sport, bragged about him, smiled with him proudly after his races, helped heal his road rash when he would fall, everything… it was ridiculous. And he didn’t even come to my college graduation that I worked my ass off for. Guys out there: don’t get addicted or obsessed over anything, whether it be cycling, football on tv, poker, whatever. The key is BALANCE! Support your partner as much as they support you. It’s funny that Lance and Sheryl broke up after he was done with cycling and she started her tour… now HE was going to have to be the one to follow HER around! Too much to ask, I suppose.
