Apparently one of the drawbacks to having a reality star for a daughter is that they sometimes drunkenly demand you drive them to Subway at two in the morning when you’re both plastered out of your face. Or maybe Kristin Cavallari‘s just special, and her mom’s one of those moms who lets their kids act like howler monkeys in the supermarket. Who knows? I’m just here to draw wild conclusions. TMZ reports:
Police in Barrington, Illinois confirm Kristin’s mom — Judith Spies — was pulled over at a DUI checkpoint at 2:15 AM late last month. Law enforcement sources tell us Kristin was riding shotgun at the time, and apparently she was a pretty hungry passenger.
We’re told Kristin insisted on fleeing to a nearby Subway and yelled at cops to get her water while Mom went through field sobriety testing with officers. As one source put it, “Subway might be open in ‘The Hills’ but not here in Barrington at 2 AM.”
To Kristin’s credit, TMZ says she didn’t pull a “Do you know who I am?” move which, of course, completely makes up for getting her mom arrested for DUI. Okay, sure, some might argue Kristin’s mom is just as much, if not entirely to blame, but what kind of mother lets her child go hungry? Seriously, there is no worse hunger than stumbling out of a bar with a stomach full of delicious booze. (Zip it, Ethiopia.) I’d eat a hobo’s shoe if he told me it was made out of nacho cheese.
