Kim Kardashian took to her blog yesterday to voice her opinion about the California Supreme Court’s ruling to uphold Proposition 8 banning same-sex marriage:
This really makes me sad. I thought we were more forward thinking than this, and I’m disappointed in the Supreme Court for being so closed minded. Everyone.. gay, straight, bisexual, transgendered, EVERYONE should have equal rights to marry who they want to. I have many gay friends and all I want is for them to be happy, yet this is just another obstacle in their way. Now they must continue fighting to be granted a basic civil right that many people take for granted. Shame on you, California! We must all continue to fight the h8!
Oh, awesome, she used “h8″ instead of “hate.” You can’t buy that kind of legitimacy. In the meantime, Star Trek veteran George Takei also spoke out on the court’s ruling to ban gay marriage yet keep previous marriages legal. TVGuide.com reports:
“They decided to be indecisive,” Takei tells TVGuide.com. “It was a ruling that doesn’t resolve anything because there is still inequality. It’s like [George Orwell's Animal Farm] — some pigs are more equal than other pigs. We’re more equal than some of the other gays and lesbians.”
Of course, one of these people is simply exploiting the situation in a never-ending quest for self-promotion, while the other has a legitimate reason to be involved. I’ll let you guys guess who the latter is. (Hint: Rhymes with “George Takei.”)
@98 Martians for gay marriage, dude. We have small businesses up here on the red planet & we allow all employees to be “married” together as 1 group. All get inheritance and legal rights, it works awesome! Oxygen bars are real popular here. One thing I don’t understand is why on Earth there are no black Geico cavemen on those stupid commercials?

There’s no difference between legalizing gay marriage and legalizing incest.
According to GMers, marriage has nothing to do with having kids and everything to do with privacy. Well the legal justification for banning incest is that it causes f***ed up kids (in addition to the practical justification that it’s repulsive). But if kids don’t figure into the definition of marriage and everyone is entitled to lifestyle privacy, nothing stops a court legalization of GM from including incest.
And before any elitist liberal full of itself brands me as “ignorant” (their stock insult these days) or white trash or uneducated, I went to a top 5 university and a top 10 law school. That means I see through the gay propaganda and I understand that the anti-miscegenation statute struck was directly related to equal protection /14th Amendment basis in scrutiny of RACIAL classifications. Gays are free to marry anyone they want, as long as that person is of the opposite gender. Anything more is demanding special treatment. Opposition isn’t a Christian thing–it’s a legal thing.
