Unfortunately not out of respect for talent and good taste, Ke$ha‘s “Die Young” was pulled off the air in light of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, according to Page Six, because it repeatedly uses the words “die young” in the chorus, so I can see how someone might not want to listen to that. And while normally I’m against knee-jerk censorship like this, less people are hearing Ke$ha’s music now, so I don’t see how that’s not a good thing that makes us richer as a nation. In fact, Teen Mom Jenelle will probably dive into traffic once she finds out, so we should probably do things like this more often. I’m thinking every third Tuesday.
They did a good job hiding her Grandpa body in this. Also, i’m pretty sure she has running bet with Lady Gaga about who can have more Occult imagery in a single video.

Tell me about it. This was a real tragedy but the news coverage at this point is down right disgusting. Every channel has been covering it non stop. All the news people act sad but in reality they love every minute of this tragedy. I believe Bill Maher calls it disaster porn. Sickening.
I’d have gone with “grief porn” for this occasion, but okay. What’s particularly vile is every media personality exploiting grief-struck families in hopes of reaping a soundbite so they can push their faces onto television even more.

Why do we always suffer from such knee jerk reactions? I’m not a fan of her music but pulling her song is just ridiculous. Are radio stations also pulling Only The Good Die Young? Probably not.

Yeah, well the radio station I was listening to yesterday did this whole long spiel about the Newtown tragedy and how it’s affected them and then cut from that segment into “Pumped Up Kicks.” Someone didn’t think that one out.
I think they should pull all her music off the air as a precaution.
