Further, I do not deny that we are routinely misled by various and discrete powers. However, I don’t think there is a single grand conspiracy at the bottom (or top depending on how you look at it). That they do in fact have what appears to be a singular effect is a result of the way that we make things meaningful by connecting them with plausible stories, i.e. conspiracy theories. I am merely proposing that we revise our conspiracy theories to what I consider to be a more workable model. Perhaps if we can increase our understanding of the mechanisms behind them, we could potentially be less duped by them. No?

My argument, in layman’s terms, is simply that our attempts to impose a narrative meaning on a number of discrete events in prone to problems of interpretations, mainly stemming from our own preconceived and largely unconscious “abstract” thought models we use, and that the abstract thought models we unconsciously use are actually a more effective mechanism of control than the greatest “cover up” of shady political/juridical/business dealings.

I understand that I did not do a good job in conveying this idea, and that most likely nobody gives a shit.
