Keira Knightley is suing the Daily Mail over an article which implied she lied about having an eating disorder. Her lawyer says:
“The article made reference to what it perceived to be Ms Knightley’s very slim appearance. The article then reported the recent, tragic death of a teenage girl who suffered from anorexia and contained an interview with the girl’s mother. We wish to make clear that Ms Knightley has the deepest sympathy for the girl’s family. Ms Knightley has publicly denied suggestions that she might be anorexic or have a similar eating disorder, including in a prominent way at a well-publicised press conference to mark the European premiere of Pirates Of The Caribbean 2, in London last summer. Accordingly, in the proceedings, Ms Knightley will argue that the Mail’s article suggests that she has dishonestly sought to mislead the public about whether she has anorexia or a similar eating disorder and will show that she does not have anorexia; and further will challenge the suggestion that she is responsible and to blame for the tragic death of the teenage girl by setting a bad example.”

I’m not saying she’s not unusually thin, but she does seem to be kind of muscular–look at her stomach. Anorexia wastes muscle as much as anything else. Some people’ll be thinner than normal no matter what just like some people’ll be heavier than usual even if they exercise, eat right and are healthy otherwise.
We call those thinner people “celebrities,” by the way. We live in a sedentary society that has a lot of extra food. If there was a shortage instead, the top 2% or whatever of heavier people would probably be celebrities. Look at old paintings and statues and shit.

The fact of the matter is that she’s just a skinny girl with little boobs, and I think she’s sort of fine with that. I think I’d get angry too if people were making up lies about medical conditions that I don’t have. I don’t understand why people hate her so much. Honestly, the only logical explanation is that people are jealous because she is naturally so thin, and therefore feel some need to harass her and tell her to eat cookies and cheeseburgers and stuff. The men/women who talk about how they’d never have sex with her because she’s so little – that’s fine, that’s your opinion. But a lot of people like a slender woman with smaller breasts. i LOVE to cook and eat food. i eat ALOT of food too.
