Joe Paterno Allegedly Threatened To Call The Cops On Sandusky Victim

“Remember, kids, if a grown-up touches you in a way you don’t like, shut your freakin’ traps or I’m calling the cops. Paterno out.”

Last week, thanks to a sealed deposition becoming public in Penn State’s lawsuit against its insurance company over who should pick up the tab for all the hush money and settlements it’s paid/paying Jerry Sandusky’s victims, it was revealed that one recipient allegedly told Joe Paterno in 1976 that he was sexually assaulted by Sandusky. Which is a pretty huge bombshell because the official story has been that Paterno only became aware of “some sort of horseplay” in 2001, kicked it up the line, and then did absolutely nothing for ten whole years until a grand jury blew the lid open and everyone went, “Oh, yeah, that. Whoops.” The actions of a true saint if there ever was one. (The Freeh Report, however, claimed Paterno at the very least knew of one other incident in 1998 and probably should’ve been more concerned after a second child rape, let alone the first one like a decent human being with a soul.) Since the news of the 1976 victim broke, NBC News has reported that as many as six of Paterno’s assistants allegedly witnessed Jerry Sandusky molesting children stretching as far back as the 1970s. And now another victim has come forward to CNN who claims he also reported being raped by Sandusky to Penn State in 1971 only to be allegedly barked down by Paterno himself who threatened to call the cops on a poor foster kid.

He found himself on the phone with two men from Penn State.
“I tell them what happened — well, I couldn’t get it out of me that I was — I can’t even tell it to this day. It’s just degrading — that I was raped,” he said.
“I told the story up to a certain point. I told them that he grabbed me and that I got the hell out of there.”
He insisted that he “made it very clear” it was a sexual attack.
“I made it clear there were things done to me that I just can’t believe could have been done to me and I couldn’t escape. I said, ‘I’m very upset and scared and I couldn’t believe I let my guard down.’ They listened to me. And then all hell broke loose.
“They were asking me my motive, why I would say this about someone who has done so many good things.”
They accused him of making it up. “‘Stop this right now! We’ll call the authorities,'” he said they told him.
Victim A says he couldn’t think. “I just wanted to get off the phone.”
The men on the phone had introduced themselves as Jim and Joe, he said. He had no idea who Jim was, and can’t, to this day, say for sure.
“There was no question in my mind who Joe was,” he said. “I’ve heard that voice a million times. It was Joe Paterno.”

Of course, the prevailing bullshit response to these latest accusations is that Joe Paterno is dead and can’t defend himself, which is ironic because neither could any of those kids when Jerry Sandusky was allowed to rape them with abandon for over 40 years to protect a football team, but nobody cares about that angle. Because that was the priority. Winning a goddamn game and selling tickets. And if you think its unfair that the school – or even grosser, the team – is being dragged through the mud, you should probably take that up with the assholes who covered up child rape, not the ones pulling your head out of the sand and saying, “Hey, these assholes covered up child rape.” And before you say it, I don’t give a fuck how much “good” Joe Paterno did for the school, he let a whole bunch of kids get raped. You don’t wash that one off with rose-colored anecdotes about having whiskey over at his house or grandfatherly-like talks. For a devout Catholic he, well, acted exactly like the Catholic Church, but also ignored one of Jesus’ most specific instructions:

“Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” – Matthew 25:40

Congratulations, Joe Paterno, you let Jesus get molested over and over again in a shower room for 40 years. For football.
