Nick Bollea, the son of wrestler Hulk Hogan, was arrested this morning for reckless driving involving serious bodily injury. Nick voluntarily turned himself in to police when he learned of the charges. He was involved in a one-car accident in August that left his friend John Graziano in a coma. He has yet to awaken. The Hogan Bollea family issued the following statement following Nick’s arrest:

“Nick and the entire Hogan Bollea family are saddened that criminal charges have been filed in regards to the tragic single car accident on August 26, 2007. Nick will meet and answer these charges in the appropriate arena a court of law. The family’s primary focus and concern still remains for the continued recovery of Nick’s longtime friend John Graziano. The Bolleas will also continue to stand by the Graziano family and help them in any way they can. The tragedy to both families is compounded by the fact that unfortunately John was not wearing his seatbelt. Thankfully, Nick was wearing his. Because of what happened to John, the entire Bollea family will make it a priority to increase public awareness about the importance of always wearing your seatbelt. There has been much speculation as to the speed and wet road conditions surrounding this accident. Although all the evidence has not been evaluated, preliminary reports from the experts indicate that this was not, in fact, a high-speed accident. Because Nick is still a juvenile and has no prior criminal record, we are disappointed that he is being charged as an adult offender. However, we are confident that the evidence will demonstrate that this was an accident. We ask all who follow these events to keep an open mind as to the facts until they have been ultimately determined. Finally, we thank all who have prayed for John’s recovery and ask for your continued support and prayers.”

Well, it turns out shortly after the Hogans made this statement, the facts were ultimately determined. Nick Bollea was drinking prior to the crash and was racing another car. TMZ reports:

In addition to being arrested for reckless driving involving serious bodily injury, cops also cited Hogan for use of a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony, a person under the age of 21 operating a vehicle with a breath-alcohol level of .02 or higher and having and Illegal window tint.

But, you know what? It’s cool. This is totally the fault of the kid who didn’t wear his seatbelt. I’ve always maintained that, when in doubt, blame the person in the coma. Drag racing drunk? Pssh. That’s nothing. But not wearing a seatbelt? Christ, don’t people have any respect for the law anymore? Is it possible to put a comatose patient in the electric chair? You know, really make an example of him.

If we all hate this assclown, just think about how the inmates in the state prison feel about him. Whiny, spoiled rich kid with a famous dad who put his best friend in a coma for the rest of his life…he’s gonna get passed around like a drunk slut at a frat party! He’s gonna get ass raped every day for as long as he’s in jail. If he goes to jail, and I really think that he will, he’s gonna get what he deserves.

a breath-alcohol level of .02 or 0.2? you get the 0.2 with 1\2 a can of beer and that would get drunk a 10 yrs old kid,not a young man.

Ok, First of all, have none of you done something really Stupid and Careless? I understand the anger and even rage that most of you have, but we all many faults. I know first-hand what it’s like to have someone come along and hurt their child! My 19 year old Son was murdered as he slept. Do you really think that The Bollea Hogan’s are not hurting and even angry at Nick’s recklessness? Most of you just seem to want to bash this family.Try and put yourselves in their shoes,in both families. What if your own child did what Nick did? and believe me they will do something careless and go against your teachings, would you be writing the things you are? and would you want someone to be writing and saying awful things about your Family? Come on were you all born with no Compassion oe Empathy? GlendaU Mojave,CA

    Dear Glenda,

Actually, in response to your question, yes I do have compassion and empathy.

Just not for spoiled little shitbags, the product of two idiot parents who think it’s “good parenting” to let Nick do whatever he wants. You can’t tell me the kid hasn’t learned right from wrong (even if only through observation of society in general). He KNEW what he was doing, he KNEW what the laws are in Florida.

He just didn’t care, because he was of the mindset that his family name would get him off the hook if he were stopped for speeding. And why not? It had happened every other time, right? Screw the police, the law, or speed-limits. I’m Mr. Bigshot Formula D racer! I know what I’m doing!

And now his friend is in a coma, and his family has tried to shift the blame for HIS actions off on the poor guy.

So no, no empathy or compassion from me. Fuck Nick Bollea, I hope he rots in jail.

    Love and kisses,

It could have happened to anyone at anytime, there are millions of people that drive under the influence everyday. More importantly there are thousands of young men and women who make the mistake of drinking and driving even after drinking one or two beers (which will put u over the legal limit). Nick made the wrong decision and will pay the price with his loss of freedom and the guilt of his friend in a coma (with no outcome known at this time). There is so many kids that make the same mistakes as he has and are not “raked over the coals,” (so to speak) because their daddies aren’t celebrities. My advice to Nick is this………………”Please pray for your buddy, John (like some of us will, that he is okay). If you want to party and drink from now on……please promise that you will take advantage of the fact you are a celebrity, and have a driver, drive u to and from your destinations (clubs, or bars, ect…). And enjoy being the son of Hulk Hogan!!!!
I’ve seen the show, “Hogan Knows Best.” And I think that you (Nick) are funny as hell, and sometimes really make the show!! You have a great sense of humor and mabye ought to think of a career in comedy! But thats just an observation. Im so sorry that this whole ‘thing’ has got you down! Please know that u do have support!
    Take care!
    Min ‘n’ babies!

Everyone should go fuck themselves!!! WHAT IS THE LEGAL LIMIT OF DUI???
Oh that’s right he wasn’t charged with DUI!!! This could have happened to any of you assholes or your kids! I’m def not condoning driving fast(which was the complete reason why they crashed) YES Nick blew 0.2….I could register that after brushing my fuckin teeth! The cops drove up to this “accident” with their dicks on hard (before knowing it was Hogan’s son) looking to place blame on whoever or whatever they could!! FUCK!! If Nick hated his long time buddy that bad maybe he should have taken him in the back yard of his residence and just blown his fuckin head off!!! This was an accident!! Nick is not a bad person….If he had been the only one in the car that night you fuckers would be praying for his life!!!! GET A FUCKIN CLUE U DUMB MOTHERFUCKERS….IF U ROOT FOR SEEING HUMANS SUFFER FOR SIMPLE MISTAKES MADE IN THEIR LIVES I WOULD HAVE TO SAY #1 THE PASSENGER HAD A CHOICE TO WEAR HIS SEATBELT(not suggesting anything by that) but you can’t put a person in jail when we all know that Nick didn’t strap his friend in his car and take off!!! They both were enjoying themselves and things took a bad turn.
STOP BEING ASSHOLES JUST BECAUSE HE’S GOT A FAMOUS FATHER!!
    YOU POOR PITIFUL JEALOUS MOTHERFUCKERS!
