God so what she is drink a beer! She is not snorting coke up her nose like Kate Moss does, she is not getting completely trashed and falling out of clubs.
I am 15 and British (and my teeTH are very straight thanks to something called Braces, darling), and i admit i do have a beer a few times if im at a party or having a meal, i do not see the big deal, its just a beer.
What some people might not understand is that in England drinking is more accepted in younger ages. However if your found drinking alchol somewhere without parents/over-18 adult around then you will get arrest
But god its just a fricking beer, not coke, vodka, anything.
Leave the poor girl alone she is trying to have some fun.

seriously who cares about a beer you go to a party in australia 15 year olds are passed out on the couch and its not like shes taking tequila shots its a carona which happens to be one of the best tasting beers so people pretty much need to back off just because shes a star dosnt mean she cant do things normal people do

k i dont know why everyones making a big deal out of this. like me, teenagers in highschool drink all the time. i got to parties every weekend and theres 15-18 year olds drinking and just having a good time. thats what teenagers do. duhh

ok so i’ve been reading these comments for the past 15 minutes or so and i have read many comments on americans and there drinking age, but have yet to hear from one well. I’M american and first of all for everyone that has posted about us sucking pretty much. You obviously have only had encounters with “the ugly american” (the rude ones) or you have had no encounters and are going on purely what you’re told.(We don’t all suck even though it may seem i do, i don’t i just feel strongly about this.)
Secondly, what the heck is everyone talking about when they say that we think its outrageous that she’s drinking? Because we DON’T. I am 15 and i have drunk before. 90% of us do before 21. Most of our parents know about it anyways. And while yes, Europeans (yes sorry britain IS part of the continent of Europe so sadly if you are Britain you ARE European. you don’t have to like it but you are politically incorrect when you say are not.lol) are a little more open about young people drinking, Why is it a big deal? Here in America those pictures would have also contained numerous drugs (the beer would have been better) and probably sex if you’re perveted and decided to film it. Just be glad its just cheep beer at a what seems like controlled party. Sorry if i seem like i suck.lol

Good lord. Some of you people need to get a life. Drinking a beer does not leed to porn and body altering operationg. None of the pictures even show her drinking. One bottle is full and the other is empty. Posing anyone? Can’t anyone just be having a good time?

This morning at my sis’ssweet 16 ,a late sweet 16 mind you ( her b-day is 6/29/90) we had Jack Daniels From 1956 and a new bottle, along with Jungle Juice( fruit punch, fruit, and any clear alcohol),Bacardi, Smirnoff Vodka, and Bud.She is only 1 month and 14 days younger than Emma. I’m only 14 and will turn 15 on 8/6, and i drank every thing but the Jack( they didn’t save any for me). Ethan I agree with you people over react. What is wrong with acting your age famous or not?? America has a good drinkin limit at 21. That is when you have to buy it your-self!

Shut up, almost every teenager starts drinking around 14 years old. Dont make a big deal out of it. I started drinking around 13 years old and smokeing weed around 14 and i have a good job and am completely normal. You squares over react, just shut up and remember when you were 16.

Why is this such a big deal?
In Britain, I was drinking at 15, and I’m an A* student, it’s really not a big deal to go out and have a drink with friends.
Also, it’s not as if she’s totally ratfaced, is it?

Well in the end it don’t matter if she drinks or not, England dosen’t have the same reprssive laws as we do in the United States in regards to youth. In England the age in which a ‘minor’ can consume alcohol is 5 (younger if supervised by a doctor). The purchasing age is 16 for things like beer or wine, and 18 for harder alcohol…

For you that don’t seem to get it.. Emma is British, and therefore not forced to live under America rule.

In England you can drink beer and wine at home from the age of 5. So since she’s clearly older than five years old, it’s not illegal under British law. Though if she were to be caught drinking in the United States, even now at 18, it would be against our laws.

Of course, it’s worth pointing out that likely the majority of 15 year old Americans have drank illegally. We just choose to keep our heads in the sand in regard to it, and that’s why we’re shocked by things like this.
