Gay cowboys win Venice Film Festival’s top honors

Jake_Heath.jpgAng Lee’s Brokeback Mountain, has won the Venice Film Festival’s top honor, the Golden Lion. The film stars Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal as two young cowboys who forge a strong romantic relationship in the Wild West after meeting in the summer of 1963.

Does this mean that all a movie needs to win prestigious film festival awards is lots of hot gay sex? Suddenly I’m proud of those movies I made in college that I wasn’t so proud of before. Sure they didn’t have a moving plot or a talented cast, but the things I did would haunt your nightmares forever. Your sexy nightmares, that is. Dude, that Golden Lion is practically on my mantle!
