Longoria Says 'Housewives' Her Last Show
Sep 11, 4:53 PM EST
The Associated Press
Eva Longoria says she's done with television after "Desperate Housewives" ends. The 31-year-old actress said she loves the medium of television and the routine it provides, but that "Housewives" will be her last series.
"I would never leave 'Desperate Housewives,'" Longoria told The Associated Press. "I love doing both (TV and film), but I would never do another TV show after 'Desperate Housewives.' No."
Longoria, who plays saucy Gabrielle Solis on the ABC dramedy, can next be seen on the big screen in "How I Met My Boyfriend's Dead Fianceé," due in 2007. She made her mainstream movie debut opposite Michael Douglas in "The Sentinel" earlier this year.
The third season of "Desperate Housewives" begins Sept. 24.

She's like Jennifer Aniston. She'll never be successful outside of TV, so she better shut her fucking mouth.

We can only hope she'll never do another series because once she attempts to make a permanent move onto film, she will fail, and we'll all live happily ever after

I don't watch Desperate Housewives regularly, but I think that she needs to leave the show. I have wanted this ever since she told something stupid to a magazine about what she wants her character to have. Not that she will ever leave the show, but she needs to.

Films give you better exposure. Film is always a better than tv acting.

Yes, but Eva Longoria is not above TV acting...and never will be.

No its not. They are almost the same, but it depends on the actor/actress. There are plenty of actors who make tv shows great and I think that comment is disrespectful to TV actors/actresses.

Let her try film. She'll be doing spoof guest parts in American Pie 34 or Road Trip 18 by next year  At least on DH her poor acting tends to get lost in with the rest of the cast.

I'd say TV sucks too if I worked on her boring as fuck, good for nothing unless you're into soft porn show. :(

The Sentinel wasn't bad, but she could've been completely absent without affecting the film one way or the other.
Jack Fucking Bauer vs. Gordon Gekko? That's a cage match, bitch, so step your ass back out of the spotlight and let the real actors swing it.

She said that she wants her character on the show to have a lesbian fling. It was one of the stupidest things to say.

Eva is a bag of douche
I hope she strong arms the show's producers and writers into some shit then be forced to leave when they ignore her then she'll be doing Radio Shack commercials with Howie Long and then Hatcher can laugh a big viking laugh at her for not heeding her warning about sticking with a tv show... or she can shut her stupid little shit mouth.

Yeah but movie stars are more known to the general public than tv stars.

Yeah, just look at all the great actors on TV; Gary Senise, James Woods, etc.
Plus you can do both TV and film. Hell Alan Alda was nominated for an Oscar, Emmy, AND a Tony in one year!
