"The Last American Virgin" is, in my estimation, the quintissential '80's teen movie. Juvenile humor, raunchy jokes, unrequited love, teen angst, it's all here, accompanied by the ubiquitous high school party scene and an unbelievably great soundtrack that features such 80's luminaries as Devo, the Cars, and even has the song "Oh No" by the Commodores. Plus, the female lead is played by a young, nubile Diane Franklin. If you don't know who Diane Franklin is then, frankly, I question your knowledge of '80's films (you may not recognize the name but if you grew up in the '80's, I guarantee you'll recognize the face). Most people remember her as the French girl in "Better Off Dead". She even bares some skin in this movie, which is worth the rental price alone.

Not to mention one of the best endings of any movie ever.

Anyone else remember this one?

For a moment I thought you'd written 'I feel the young'.

I need a break....

Google for Diane Franklin - some very *perky* pics! (NSFW-ish)

Shame about the hair though!

And - how many people have no idea what "Better of Dead" is, or for that matter, "Hot Pursuit" or "The Sure Thing"

I love this movie, but I love Better of Dead even moreso. I quote it more than copyright laws should allow, and Howard Jones' "I'd Like to Get to Know You Well" is a regular on my playlist.
