Fergie performed/butchered the Heart classic “Barracuda” this morning on The Today Show (video after the jump). Talk about insulting. It’s a documented fact that I heart Heart. Anyway, during the song Fergie decided to pretend she was fellating her guitar player which, you know, hey, that’s rock n’ roll. But, for the record, her audience was stocked with parents and children, I shitteth thee not! I’m sure lots of questions were asked on the drive home particularly the always awkward, “Mommy, why did that man dress like a lady and make the baby Jesus cry?”

Ok, let me add that her voice is almost decent in this, though she struggles with some of the higher notes.
It would have been better if she wasn’t trying to imitate Nancy Wilson, if she didn’t make a Guns ‘n Roses reference, and if she didn’t say Sock-it-to-me!
But, seriously, “sock-it-to-me” indeed. Nixon would be proud.
Oh, and obviously if she remembered she was doing a damn MORNING show, which doesn’t have an age limit (afaik), there are kids in the audience, there are old people in the audience, there are living beings in the audience, and didn’t act like a total douche.
Ok, first of all, if any parent brings their kid to watch Fergie and DOESN’T expect them to be corrupted, they are idiots. I was a bit dissapointed, expecting some awesome head-bobbing action from Fergie, only to be rewarded with a half-assed humping motion, and cartwheels(wtf?). Still the ass shaking fest near the end was a bonus…..
That was truly bizarre, but please, that was not her pretending to FELLATE.
Also, she pulls off those pants incredibly well.
Her face, however, is pretty scary, and the entire performance made me cringe.
