Dr. Dre’s 20-year-old son Andre Young Jr. was found dead Saturday morning at his mother’s house, according to People:
Andre Young Jr., 20, was discovered “unresponsive” by his mother at his home in Woodland Hills, Calif., on Saturday morning, according to the L.A. County Coroner’s office.
“Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son,” his rep Lori Earl says in a statement. “Please respect his family’s grief and privacy at this time.”
Young’s mother told police that she attempted to rouse her son at 10:24 a.m. on Saturday, and when she couldn’t, she called paramedics. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
An autopsy was performed yesterday morning but the cause of death is still pending on a toxicology report. Police say Andre was out with friends and didn’t return home until 5:30 a.m. the morning of his death.
I can’t even believe some of the comments that are made about the death
of a teenage boy. No matter what color or how ever he died, this was someone’s son. Does this country not have any respect anymore??

Im very sorry to hear this news, and RIP to Dre’s son. So young, and many men are dieing young these days. All, or at least most, of the deaths pronounced as of late have been men.

I can’t believe these comments. A family has lost their son. Instead of people trying to understand their pain, some are smiling? That’s really sad. After 9/11, you think that the whole nation would come together? With today’s economy, rising gas prices, and unemployment everyone is suffering. Whether your black, white, hispanic, whatever we are all going through the same thing. We all care about the same things. We all love our children and try to put a roof over their heads and food in their mouths. We are all equal. There is no such thing as a bad race. I could say alot of of things to upset you racist bastards but that’s beneath me. All i’m going to say is stop and smell the roses. Black people have come along way since the time of slavery and if it wasn’t for us alot of the things people use on an everyday basis would not even exsist. P.S. My brother died at the age of 21. He was a high school graduate and attending college. He wasn’t a drug dealer or gang member, he never even went to jail. He passed away in his sleep after a long night too. Everybody just “knew” he died from taking some kind of drug cause there was no other explaination. No shooting. No gang violence. But surprise!!!!!, He had an enlarged heart. And the moral of the story is….. Don’t jump to conclusions.
