Dina Lohan had her dream come true this morning when she was invited on The Today Show to talk about her daughter in front of real, live, working TV cameras that people will actually watch. While talking with Matt Lauer, Dina basically brushed off every legitimate question he asked and proceeded to paint Lindsay Lohan as a persecuted individual – She’s friends with murderers, you know – who’s the victim of an out-of-control judge that’s totally going to get fired, you guys. Dina said that information will be coming out next week showing that the jurist had to remove herself from the case before she was about to be fired.
Defending Lindsay, who was at the Cannes Film Festival when she was expected in court in Los Angeles for a progress review, Dina said, “She was in [jail] for just missing a couple of classes and was working at the time.”
In addition, Dina noted, by Lindsay’s being behind bars, “She missed driving classes.” The actress also came into personal contact with murderers, said her mother, adding, “She made friends with them.”
Pressed about her daughter’s problems, Dina said, “That’s all propaganda,” and called tabloid coverage of Lindsay “pre-orchestrated. You’re reading things that are not based on fact.”

But, no, seriously the real issue here is that Dina confirmed tabloid reports (Irony!) that Lindsay will be getting out of rehab early which is un-fucking-believable considering 90 days wasn’t even close to enough time to make it stick. The only true way to rehabilitate Lindsay is to sentence her to 18 years of being raised by an actual human being who’s not queen of the look-at-me harpies. Wipe the slate clean and start from scratch. Stop me if I’m making the entire field of psychology look like clown shoes.

Calm down; I didn’t say Jesus would have been conservative. I meant that most people who would be offended by the constant mocking of Christianity, in America, would be considered conservative. Of course there are liberal Christians — a good bit of them. I’m just making a sweeping statement.
I think the point is that Jesus was a martyr. And Dina thinks Lindsay is a martyr, and it’s more funny to say Jesus than it is to say “Joan of Arc,” because it is more universal. It’s what you would call a literary Device, specifically a “Metaphor.” Sometimes writers use such devices to illustrate a point in a colorful way. That’s all I can say about it, though. I don’t really remember everything I learned in the third grade.
It’s just sad. Sad that the legal system is pure shit. The fact that Lilo needs serious help is as obvious as the fact that Dina uses self tanner. Rehab isn’t a punishment, it’s rehab, so the very idea behind reducing someone’s “sentence” in rehab for time served, good behavior or whatever the fuck the reason is, is absolutely illogical. You don’t change your lifestyle by a couple days in prison followed by the same term in rehab. And it doesn’t help when people around you say, “you’re okay. there’s nothing wrong with you.” I doubt Dina reads this blog (or reads in general) but I’ve got to say something, “Dina, wake up. Your daughter is going to die if she continues with her reckless activities. I’m 26, and I’m not a parent, and I see this. Why can’t you? Screw the lime light. Screw the money. Because when you’re sitting in a retirement home, thinking about your life, the only thing that will matter is the people that you love(d) and the people that you were supposed to love and take care of. So I’ve got a solution, if you want your daughter out of rehab, get her out of rehab. And the next day, and for the next 90 days, spend every waking hour with her. Set a good example for your daughter in everything that you do. Make sure she sees professional regularly. Keep her away from drugs and alcohol. And take her cell phone away. Guess what? If you do this, she won’t think you’re cool. And she won’t even like you. But you’ll be saving her life.”
Sorry for getting serious, just had to say something. Parents don’t realize how much they can fuck up their kids lives. It’s sad. It’s a human people, not a fucking tote or trophy. When you have a child (planned or by mistake), you take absolute responsibility. So Dina, step up. Without the cameras.
