This is video of David Hasselhoff completely drunk and slurring his words at his Las Vegas home. It was taken by his 16-year-old daughter Taylor three months ago, and in it you can hear her begging him not to drink anymore or he’ll be fired from his show. David released this statement in response to the video:
“I am a recovering alcoholic. Despite that I have been going through a painful divorce and I have recently been separated from my children due to my work, I have been successfully dealing with my issue. Unfortunately, one evening I did have a brief relapse, but part of recovery is relapse. Because of my honest and positive relationship with my daughters who were concerned for my well being there was a tape made that night to show me what I was like. I have seen the tape. I have learned from it and I am back on my game. I thank God for the love and concern from my daughters. The tape was never meant to become public, but got into the hands of individuals who are not worthy of mentioning, who maliciously released the tape for their own self purpose. I hope that someone else will learn from the tape, as I have.”
As much as I want to rip on The Hoff, this is just incredibly sad. Like the time I was standing outside all alone, looking through the window of a family opening presents on Christmas morning. And there was a guy behind me playing the violin. And it was raining. And also I was an orphan. And my pet dog had just died. Did I mention I was also missing a leg? Because I was also missing a leg. Ahh, the memories.

I think I saw the show once when all of the other channels were on storm watch because it was drizzeling out side (you have to live in So Cal to appreciate our news). I did enjoy Bay Watch. However I always truned the sound down and had pron going on another TV. You would be surprised how well it work.

I’m actually kind of surprised that the spawn of inflated, talentless L.A. trash has the presence of mind to intervene when “the Hoff’” is about to fuck his teetering life up with booze (again). Granted, she didn’t have the class to show this to friends and family with Ol’ Dave, she just sent it to Entertainment Tonight. It probably was less work than writing all those emails, and finding a date, and making sure the Hoff’s shrink and sponsor can make it . . .
It just goes to show you that even when those disgusting wastes of skin (who are breathing our air, BTW) are being good to each other (i.e., not letting one’s excesses interfere with another’s dinner), they can’t help but be shitty about it.
Part of it is these 400lb, TV-addict, layabout, celebrity worshiping space cases. This, the most despicable portion of the audience commodity is unfortunately the most reliable. It’s these metric tons of fans thinking these dopey actor-types can do no wrong. That kind of unconditional worship (Yes, you there, with the horse cock,) makes “the Hoff’” think, “Geez, I’m really awesome. I’m sure I can beat this alcoholism thing and still have a drink and some mashed up burger on the side.”

I just hate it when people justify it by complaining about their messy divorces or other problems in their lives. I’m drinking a vodka tonic right now, and I should be a little goofy by 9:00 if all goes well, but I don’t have to JUSTIFY my drinking. Sure my life sucks right now, I still haven’t got my paycheck and don’t know if I’m going to, I may have to quit my job and sue my boss and I’m a single parent with credit card bills up the ass and less than 100 bucks in the bank, but that’s not why I’m drinking. I’m drinking because I like the flavor and enjoy the buzz. Simple as that.
