Casey Johnson died of stuff, too

February 4th, 2010 // 63 Comments

Apparently the LA Coroner’s Office decided they should get around to solving those high-profile deaths today, because they’ve also announced the final results of Casey Johnson’s autopsy. People reports:

The specific cause of death was “diabetic ketoacidosis,” a condition caused by a shortage of insulin, according to a coroner statement.
Shortly after her death, a law enforcement source told PEOPLE that hypodermic needles were found in the home, and they suspected Johnson partied the night before she died and neglected to take her insulin. No illicit drugs were found.

So if I’m reading this right, Casey Johnson essentially died from being a drunken moron. Or is “diabetic ketoacidosis” a fancy word for Tila Tequila? Not that this couldn’t go both ways.

I am a type 1 Diabetic and assure you there is NO WAY of dying of Diabetic Keto. in one night – no way. She neglected herself for weeks if not more to cause this death. She was probably playing the stupid game of keeping her blood sugars high so she would stay thin or lose weight and paid a huge price. At least she’ll look thin in the casket!

@ 52. I was in the ICU for 3 days after ONE day of traveling as the insulin in my pump went bad due to the cross country flight, and I am a well controlled type 1 diabetic. I was almost in a coma by the time I got to the ER, and my blood sugars were only in the 400′s. She was obviously a very sick woman with many contributing factors, but please don’t kid yourself into thinking it can’t happen in 1 day. I barely lived through severe DKA and it happened in a 24 hour period.

I agree with the people who doubt this ketoacidosis theory. I am a diabetic myself and can also confirm that one does not die from missing a single injection. Not even from missing injections a whole day. ketoacidosis does not develop so fast. Plus if she were drinking, it makes it that much more unlikely. A lot of people don’t know that alcohol makes your blood sugar drop. So if she drank a lot, her blood sugar could not go so high that she could die from it. Nice try t cover up drug overdose though.

What do you mean “the insulin in my pump went bad due to the cross country flight”? How the hell does that happen?

The online store sites offer top fashion designer brands including recurring favorites like Christian Louboutin,Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik shoes. As the price of footwear is much cheaper Louboutin shoes you won’t have to make do with just one pair,in fact you could likely buy an additional pair with the money saved. Why go through the hassle of shopping in crowds for those deals when you can shop in the comfort of your own house with your computer.
