Buffy Criticizes Shallow Starlets

November 4th, 2005 // 5 Comments

sarah_gellar_thumb1.jpgSarah Michelle Gellar took time out of her busy schedule of doing absolutely nothing to lecture our woe-begotten society on its evils. At a benefit for Step Up Women’s Network, Buffy said

Think about Rosa Parks. There was a woman who did so much for other women. And nowadays, women are famous for the way they wear their hair. Or designers they wear. Or who they date. Someone like Rosa Parks reminds you that fighting for women’s causes is the most important thing we can do.”

I love it when celebrities get all high-minded and criticize the very things that caused them to be celebrities in the first place. In my opinion she should stop talking about women’s causes and start talking about the cause in my pants. Hell, she can even raise a benefit for it. Jenna Jameson will host, and the evening will be spent with two-dozen porn stars in Strawberry Shortcake outfits jello-wrestling for my love and calling me Doctor Schlong.

P.S. I think Sarah-Michelle Gellar might be a midget.

Hmm. I like Sarah and all, I loved her as Buffy (the strong but kicking female) & as Katherine (the manipulative bitch) in Cruel Intentions but she needs to get off her high horse. Doesn’t she wear designer clothes? Didn’t she once claim to have gotten a $3,000.00 hairdo (it was a freakin ponytail)during a red carpet interview on E! While it is true that some people *like me* get a bit too much hung up on those things, I think she’s being hypocritical. Image comes part and parcel with celebritydom. And BTW I don’t think half of her fans are into her ’cause of what she did for women’s causes. Just saying.

She only knows Rosa Parks because of her recent death. God, I hate people. Does she even know who Freddie Prinze Sr. was?
