Brittany Murphy’s apparently executed a will years before she married Simon Monjack which leaves everything to her mother Susan Murphy, according to TMZ:
The house Brittany owned and died in was held in trust — a trust created several years before she met Monjack. He is not listed on the title.
We do not know if Murphy amended her will after she was married. So far we have no evidence Murphy drafted a codicil (amendment) to the will.
Granted, Brittany Murphy had enough money to pay off her husband’s debts at the beginning of their marriage, how much could she honestly be worth right now? She really hasn’t done anything lately and I doubt Brittany made millions doing “Faster Kill Pussycat” with Paul Oakenfold. But if she did, somebody tell a famous DJ I’m awesome at talking over shit, too. Just ask the guy who sat in front of me during Avatar last night. CA does not recongize elective share, you dimwits. The community property statutes in place in CA are simiarly not recognized if it is proven that it was the intent of the decedent to omit the spouse, or if the spouse is provided for outside of the will….i.e. a trust. Please remember, Brittney married the man. She must have had some feelings for him. Is the problem that he is fat, or that it isn’t YOU she married? She was beautiful talented and now she’s dead. Move on.
Before you say it, I spelled her name wrong, Brittany. Sorry, spelling isn’t my thing. I do think she was an amazing actress and could have made many more. I know her husband was gong to charge for the memorial, but he also donated a lot of money toward a scholarship for actrors. This helps keep her name alvie in the field of acting for many many actors to hear long after she is gone. I personally think that was a great jesture….and no I don’t know the guy. I just think, he was her husband, she must have loved him and she probably wouldn’t like to hear all you people calling him names and wondering who gets all her money.,
