Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack did an incredible job not looking guilty as fuck yesterday by telling Cedars-Sinai medical staff that he didn’t want an autopsy for his late wife despite the fact a treasure trove of prescription meds were found at the scene. TMZ reports:
Sources say various prescriptions were found in the home — written for Brittany Murphy, husband Simon Monjack, and Brittany’s mom. One source says, “There were a lot … a lot of prescriptions in the house.”
Law enforcement sources tell us Murphy collapsed in the bathroom and somehow ended up in the shower … there was, we’re told, a significant amount of vomit in the immediate area.
We’re also told authorities did not find illegal drugs in the house, but Murphy was definitely taking various prescription meds.
Talk about some brass balls. “Hey, could you be a doll and not perform an autopsy on my wife who just mysteriously died at 32? Thanks.” Seriously, I’m surprised Simon Monjack didn’t just walk in with a flamethrower and ask to see the body. Then again, that’d probably look less suspicious.
My guess? Drugs with a mixture of anorexia or bulimia. Both can do a number on the heart, sadly. She was darling, and a fun actor to watch. I hope they do an autopsy because people need to know the effects of such things.

So many rumors have followed her over the years surrounding her having an eating disorder or using drugs to stay thin. People with anorexia commonly die because their organs shut down or go into cardiac arrest. Ditto with cocaine users. Sources close to her say that she had SEVERE body image issues.

Monjack was in rehab in England for drugs and alcohol twice. He has conned numerous women out of money and he has at least 2 ex wives and a daughter he never sees. He pretends to have money and a mega-rich family but they want no more to do with him. He was a junkie, an alkie, a liar and a conman and he was just waiting to marry a rich woman for her money and fame in Hollywood. Poor little girl.

I have just learned of Brittany’s death and I am so saddened by it. She was just so awfully young, plus we’ve lost so many other young (as well as older) actors/celebs to drugs lately that I hope this isn’t the case with Britt b/c I’d hate her to be remembered that way. Just think of all the celebs that have died lately not just from drugs but suicides, accidental overdoes ect. there was Heath Ledger, Brad Renfro, Michael Jackson, Anna Nicole Smith, Jonathan Brandis and all of those were just in recent years and that’s just to name a few. All of which at one time were very famous and rising stars with talent, a lot turned to drugs or were depressed and it’s just sad and should be a wake up call. I understand how strong addiction to prescription drugs is b/c I’ve been there and I got help, now I have back problems and HAVE to take pain meds to get through the day, but doctors prescribe so many drugs that conflict with one another these days and are never held accountable and that is not right. Then there are people that doctor shop..How many more young people have to die before something is done? Not only celebs but I have lost 7 or more friends to drug overdoses/car wrecks ect. and I’m only 28 yrs old. Just recently I lost one of my best friends/ex boyfriends that I had known since we were both young teens to a drug overdose, he died in his sleep and he was 28 years old. No matter how Brittany died, she did die and young at that and people who say all these horrible things on here need to think a second what her family and friends are going through. You don’t have a clue how hard it is until you lose someone in this kind of manner that is close to you. Yes, it’s your right to say whatever you want on a board like this, but then when one day it actually happens to someone you care about I just hope you will remember how cruel and insensitive you were about another young person’s life/death and that their family can easily access these boards and read these terrible things. Just b/c someone has been addicted to drugs doesn’t mean they are a bad person, with drugs so readily available and more so I’d guess for a celeb, with peer pressure it is so easy to get on drugs, prescription or illegal. It can happen to anyone, even some one you care deeply about. Also, with all the pressures of Hollywood and to look thin, anorexia has also become a terrible problem as well. You can’t blame these celebs b/c they see how our society picks on Jessica Simpson and Brittney Spears for being a tad overweight, we have got to the point where if someone has a tad of fat on them we chastise them for being fat, then when someone is scary skinny we chastise them for that, it’s hard for someone, especially a female in the spotlight to know what is too fat or too slim b/c the line is so thin between them. Next time you think of writing something horrible think before you do it and if you decide to anyway then when it happens to you, you will have no one to blame but yourself. Brittany was a absolutley stunning girl with tons of talent and the best thing about Brittany was that she wasn’t this Playboy bunny looking fake person, she was unique and special and she lit up a screen with her personality. Yes, I agree when I saw her in that Lifetime movie based on a Nora Roberts book that I thought to myself that she looked different than her normal self, she wasn’t as bubbly, but she was still beautiful, BUT so what…I choose to remember her when she was that bubbly beautiful actress that had that smile that was so infectious. The first time I remember seeing her was in Clueless and she made me smile and then the next time I saw her I think was with Angelina Jolie in Girl Interrupted and I thought wow she is a talented actress and then she grew up into this beautiful blond woman with all kinds of personality but more refined so to speak and I just knew she was going to go far if she didn’t get led astray. To know that such talent is now gone at such a young age is terribly sad. I just hope that she is in a better place now and I pray that her family has the strength to get through this horrible loss.
