So apparently Britney Spears’ conservatorship won’t be ending. TMZ reports:
The judge didn’t specify how long the conservatorship will remain in place, but lawyers involved in the matter tell TMZ they expect it to last somewhere between six months to a year.
Under the ruling, Britney’s dad, Jamie Spears, will continue to receive a $16,000-a-month payment for his duties. Andrew Wallet — the co-conservator — was also granted a $174,569.10 payment for services rendered between July 2009 and November 2009.
The judge also authorized Britney’s conservatorship to kick out close to $300,000 in attorney’s fees.
I want to assume this has less to do with Britney being crazy and more to do with her dad and this lawyer guy bleeding her dry, but then I look at these pics of “Dr. Britney” on Monday and realize it’s pretty much both at the same time. At this point she’s basically a bottomless piggy bank that needs a team of ex-Navy SEALS to keep her pants on. I don’t know any other way to describe it.

I would be all giddy if the judge gave her full control of her life, because we’ve witnessed how strategic she is in that situation. Well said #12 and #10. I knew the drop in the bucket comment was coming though. Im sure her wealth is staggering but she did earn it. I just see small fortunes being taken from the girl over what seems to me like nothing but nonconformity. Since when is being “trashy” a crime that one must pay for. What gives the legal system the right to determine how someone HAS to act in order to keep her money. She has broken no law. Seems to me a natural-born performer, raised in not the most intellectual environment perhaps, has applied her talent and sex appeal to an industry that happens to scrutinize her every action on a daily basis. There are people like this running ’round all over the place, especially in that area of the south (as #10 pointed out). You dont see them being dragged into court and caught up in all this costly legal bullshit. Its just another case of the conservative establishment stepping where they dont belong. Because she’s in the public eye and rich, this subjects her to be forced to conform and robbed.

Well even though immense progress has happened in brit’s personal life, I don’ know what to think of this??? Britney does look very happy and is living a normal life, which is a major plus. I wish the c-ship would end soon though cuz people on the outside world see her as a controlled freak who can’t do anything for herself, and they are wrong obviously. Also, it’s hard for people to give her credit on her music because they think the management is doing everything for her especially when they compare her to other singers out there.
I wish the c-ship would end before her next album comes out so we can see a little transition and a growth in her music, as we’ve seen in her personal life.
