Britney Spears new album “Blackout” will be hitting shelves early. Originally scheduled to be released November 12, the album will be in stores October 29. I’m marking my calendar right now. I can’t wait to get my copy and, you know, go deaf. The Sun reports:
An unofficial source at her label told me: “The demand for Britney’s new album has taken everyone by surprise. People are desperate to get their hands on it.
“Executives at the label decided to give people what they want, so they opted to get it on the shelves as soon as they possibly could.”
I can’t go anywhere without hearing that Britney’s album is actually really good. Well, no shit. She didn’t even make it. They brought her in for one day at the studio, slapped a Frappucino in one hand, a Chalupa in the other, and told her to say anything into the mic. Just random words, it doesn’t matter. The entire album was already in the can. And, of course, what words came out? “Gimme More.” I mean, how dare they bring her a measly Grande Frappucino? Britney Spears gets at least a bucket of Frap, or she walks.

Perhaps, just perhaps, what is wrong with her is completely of her own doing? No wait, you’re right a selfish and will disregard for anyone but herself can’t be the reason for her slobby ways. It’s got to be something like paps that hound her after she alerted them to her location. Also it might be post-partum depression, I think that was the diagnosis from the on-staff psychiatrist of OK Magazine.

‘Ive already gotten a chance to hear the new album and out of the 13 tracks. I”d say only 3 or 4 are good. My girlfriend is obsessed with Brit though. Soo, I’m forced to listen to it daily. Hell, she even tries to RAP in one song and its just horrible. Although, she samples ‘Sweet Dreams’ by the Eurythmics, and that song is pretty damn good.

Over at Perez, he says the album date was pushed up because the record label didn’t want her album competeing with Celine Dion’s new album, which is scheduled to be released the same day. I have also heard that Madonna has a new album coming out later this year as do The Spice Girls. With all the mega hype around these other artists, it is a wise decision to drop her album as soon as possible and get as much milege as they can. I predict she’ll do big sales her first week, then drop the second week, but stay steady for a few months (if and only if she can release a few other singles as good as or better than Gimme More), and it will no doubt sell a few million worldwide. Probably not astronomical numbers, but a few million is enough to keep her on the pop music front for a few more years. Hey, Madonna has had albums bomb and so has Janet. But they are both still around making music.

At least Madonna convinces more or less MOST of the people out here that her rip offs are a bit original, Ms Spears doesn’t even bother (like the majority of events in her daily life) to try… It’s like Michael Jackson, the illusion of a second chance amidst ongoing daily public disaster, so sure it seems he still gets the adoring wacko like worship from some people [those living in lead lined bunkers for decades by all accounts] but most know he’s damaged goods, same for her, erm, but for differing reasons…
The usual numpties will buy the album, people will assume “ooooh yeah she’s back” (aka utter bollox) probably the same wise souls that bought SG tix in 38 seconds or who payed $2000 on ebay to see The Police or $1000000000 for Led Zep or whoever….

Think what you want about the girl, but her music gave a boot up the ass to great pop music in late 20th century. Not everyone is a pop music fan, but for those who are you can not deny she has released some classic pop tunes, great music, great dancing. All round great popstar.

Celine’s album TAKING CHANCES will outsell Britney’s by GAZILLIONS, that’s why they moved up britney’s release date. Celine’s fabulous video will premiere next week ;) and more cheetos to Britney!
I had a feeling the moving of the release date thing might have had something to do with a competing album. I guess I wouldn’t want my album dropping the same day as Celine Dion’s either. Most actually good singers wouldn’t want to have to compete with Celine. So you can imagine how many bricks were shit when Britney’s label found out about that (if it is indeed true; seems logical, they release a lot of music in November for the holiday season).
And I think I figured out why Britney is so lumpy now: all those people living in her colon, many of whom have been posting here. Kids these days…
I think she deserves all the respect that a person can have because she’s also a person. I like her for being herself. She’s not hypocrite unlike any other artist. Britney Spears deserves the success she is having until now. The mutiplatinum albums that sell millions of copies, the singles or songs she has written which made it big in the airwaves. She deserves all the fame and fortune.I hope and pray that her followers would still be supporting her all the way. I’m a fan of Britney. I dislike Avril Lavigne, Norah Jones, Jesica Simpsons and other artists who keep on putting her down. For these artist, just do your thing as Britney does her thing.

Wow! is this particular post ripe for comment! It really is too bad that Im so upset with my contract, that I just cant see myself writing anything of relevance to this issue. You see, in a time when young men and women are DYING for our rights as Americans to express ourselves, I just cant get past the injustice that I make residuall profits on everything I write that gets produced, and aired on televisions, phones, billboards, and ads worldwide. Its just NOT FAIR! Sure, the people responsible for the actual work that makes my concept a visual relization make nothing on this deal is a real bummer, but what about ME?
