Britney Spears was strapped to a gurney and taken from her home after a custody standoff with the police and local fire department. The police are saying Britney was under the influence of an unknown substance when she refused to allow her children to leave her house with Kevin Federline’s bodyguard. The Associated Press reports:
Officers were called to Spears’ house around 8 p.m. to respond to the custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline over their sons, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James, Lee said.
By about 10:30 p.m., six police cars, two ambulances and a fire truck had entered the gated-community that includes Spears’ house. Several police cars were seen in the area earlier in the night.
Spears turned over the children around 10:50 p.m., Lee said.
TMZ is reporting that Kevin’s lawyers are meeting with the judge this morning to strip Britney of her visitation rights. She is currently on “5150 hold” at Cedars-Sinai hospital which means there is evidence that Britney is a danger to herself and others.
UPDATE: Us Magazine has a time line of Britney’s meltdown. She’s being treated at the hospital as a “special needs” patient which indicates indicates either an overdose or suicide attempt.

I worked for a Regional Trauma Center for several years with anything and everything you can imagine… so while it’s certainly plausible that Britney is in for a suicide attempt or drug overdose, a ‘Special Needs’ status is ALWAYS given to patients that are celebrity OR just request to remain anonymous. Most all hospital computer systems only have 2 patient status — private and non-private. Rape victims and those admitted on a police hold are also automatically given ‘Special Need’…
Nevertheless, Britney is nuts. You can only tread water so long after going off the deep end.

Would you go to a mental ward of a hospital and look at craziescrying and pulling out their hair with contempt saying ” they brought this on themselves” maybe some of them were once rich. look at britney’s appearance for the last three years. she is obviously not overly self-indulgent with her richness( compared to others that are that rich). she eats taco bell and refuses makeup artists and hair stylists. she does not take tropical vacations, she drives to starbucks. she does not spoil herself ( with HER money).
at this point, she IS crazy and needs a lot of help. I kind of hope one day she will completely recover and tell us exactly when and why she went crazy.
