I just spent 6 hours viewing and editing Britney Spears video material from 1999-2000. Britney on The View, on Rosie, Disney concerts, clips from the Mickey Mouse Club, cross-promoting with Mellisa Joan Hart, at the Rockefeller XMas tree lighting, Good Morning America, clips of her as a singing, dancing little kid, etc, etc, and I’ve come to the conclusion that Britney was one hard-worker from the time she was a small child, a professional by age 11. Lots of grown men and woman made LOTS of money off this kid-performer, but she did not grow up normal. Her friends were the dancers on her tour with her, who presumably worked for HER, her friends were adults – grown hairdressers, agents, producers of all sorts – and that’s not any real friend for a kid to have, is it? I read recently that Britney’s fortune of 32 million was now down to 10-12 million. After viewing the once happy-looking Britney, it’s sobering to see her the way she is now. I’m not saying she was exploited, cause she obviously loved doing it, but there’s always a price to be paid for everything we get in life, and Britney looks to be paying the piper the past year.
