Sales for Britney Spears new album “Blackout” have come to a crawl after fans bought only 430,000 copies, according to FOX News:
On Friday morning, “Blackout” stands at No. 59 on Amazon.com. It’s also No. 13 on iTunes, which means that its downloading days are dwindling as well.
A new single, “Piece of Me,” is getting some airplay including on the nation’s top pop station, New York’s Z-100. But that doesn’t seem to make much of a difference.
I’m surprised actually. I thought Britney’s new album was excellent. I even bought copies for my family and handed them out yesterday at Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone seemed pretty happy. I mean, despite my parents disowning me and my 90-year-old grandmother trying to stab me in the neck with a turkey leg. Then my uncle said something about making it “look like a hunting accident.” I dunno, I was too busy trying to suck all the booze out of the rum cake with a straw before the cops came. Unfortunately for me, it was really a meatloaf.

I can totally believe she only moved around 400K copies in the US. I really don’t like reveling in her personal problems, but she should have known that pop stardom is fleeting and she doesn’t have the voice to do the ‘comeback’ thing years later where people will shell out 125 bucks a seat to see her at MSG.
Her shelf life is past in the business. Shame, she could have milked maybe another album out of it if she had just cleaned up her shit and stayed fit (mentally and physically).

Her sweater is also very poorly made, just look at how the bird pattern does not match up with the pattern on the other half of the zipper, half of the birds have their heads cut off. I hope she bought it at a discount store in China, otherwise, she was really ripped off.

Because um..yes..they do count bitches. ‘Blackout’ has been the number 1 digital album since it was released, did y’all know that? Did y’all also know she broke yet another record for the largest first week sales for a digital album released by a female artist in the sound scan era?? I guess not, y’all are envious that a girl who seems to have such a troubled personal life is so financially set no matter what y’all think about her. I think its funny how Fox News talked about how her album ONLY sold 450,000 copies! As I remember selling 450,000 copies is NOT bombing!!!! Her CD is actually really good, friends of mine who hate Britney Spears actually had to agree that this album was good. I made everyone listen to it to prove to them that is was good. People just love to hate her and I cant change that people want to call her a cunt, because you know, they know her so well and I’m sure they know the whole story because they read crap sites like TMZ, and you know TMZ is just all-knowing and they dont exagerate stories at all.

Two years later and Britney is back on top..funny how people keep predicting her demise and she survives as well as flourishes. Good for her.
