Here’s How Bill Cosby And His Fans Responded To Protesters

Two days before Tina Fey and Amy Poehler officially made Bill Cosby an award show punchline, roughly 30 female protesters stood up in the middle of his standup performance in Ontario and started chanting, “We believe the women! We believe the women!” before being ushered out by security. But before that could happen, fans in the audience yelled this back at them. Via The Hollywood Reporter:

We believe the men.”

We believe the men? Jesus fucking Christ. And that’s in the year 2015, so I can’t imagine why Cosby’s accusers didn’t come forward in the late 60s/early 70s when menstruating would get you 15-to-life. Even worse were Bill Cosby’s instructions to the audience that really say everything about this whole situation:

“Whatever happens here tonight, if there’s some sort of outburst, we just need to keep calm and it doesn’t have to last that long,” he told the half-empty Hamilton Place theater.

And not only did he probably say that to his victims – “allegedly” – but Bill Cosby sadly knows exactly how this will play out. Eventually people will get tired of this story, if they’re not already, and he’s never going to see the inside of a courtroom, so all he has to do is wait this bitch out while his fans and wives (both TV and real-life) call his accusers liars. Plus he’s still rich. Things couldn’t be be better!
